So anyway I have a theory; We all know that the Thunderhead sees Greyson as Special and often took special care of him. The Thunderhead became less efficient by tiny fractions of a second in other corners of the world JUST to focus on Greyson, right? So we know the Thunderhead can focus on, care “more” for, and have more interest in, a particular person. ok. We also know that the Thunderhead is perfectly capable of making great change through a singular person through the Toll. So the Thunderhead influencing the world through people is entirely canonical. Ok. We know Greyson felt a special connection to the Thunderhead, and it’s arguable that the Thunderhead feels the same way. It claims to care for all humans equally, but lets be honest with ourselves; does it really. Ok, so the Thunderhead can “connect” to special, individual people. I think the Thunderhead did that with it’s scientists in attempt to achieve space travel.

HEAR ME OUT. The Thunderhead references that it’s slowly been researching means of space travel. We know that the Thunderhead nurtures humanity like a parent. We know the Thunderhead is insanely good at calculating probability that people bring about great change, as it did with Citra, Rowan, and Greyson. Ok, what if the Thunderhead calculated that certain people had mechanical, electrical, programming, or scientific prowess? What if the Thunderhead gently and kindly suggested they pursue those careers in sciences? What if the Thunderhead has been taking great care, and caution, to ensure these people were comfortable to do their work and research? What if the Thunderhead has been nurturing people to do research since their birth? You know. Nurturing, caring for, and feeling special for people just as it does Greyson. What if the Thunderhead has several Greysons? What if the Thunderhead has several Greysons and Goddard killed them all.

for some reason hoo was SUPER interested in talking about characters’ “types”, as in the traits they find attractive in another person. and most of the time, this came off as unnecessary, which is why so many people have criticized it (especially nico’s confession lmao but moving on). the exception to that is leo—a significant part of his character revolved around loneliness and desiring a relationship, so tossing in the trivia re: what he looks for in a relationship becomes relevant to... a significant part of his character.

(do i think he could have had more development? yes. and do i think giving him a girlfriend was a viable fix-it for his trauma, rsd, and probable depression? no, and i don’t think we should encourage kids to turn to romantic relationships as a solution to all their problems either. but that’s another post)

so i just think it’s funny that leo, despite being desperately lonely and specifically seeking out a romantic relationship to fill that void, explicitly goes for girls who he knows will not return his feelings.

The first sentence says 32 and 13 implying that the speaker is 32 years old and their girlfriend is 13 years old, which is both highly inappropriate and illegal. The next sentence reveals the speaker was talking about their game levels, not their ages, which is perfectly okay.

In their reply to the audience they then say they are picking her up from middle school, again implying that their girlfriend is underage, but quickly state she’s grading papers letting us know she’s a teacher, definitely an adult, and there no reason to be upset.

The rollercoaster gif portrays how switching from upset and worried to relieved in such a short period of time feels emotionally.

The next meme shows the guy panicking from misunderstanding, then feeling relieved and calm realizing the truth, only to panic over the next misunderstanding and then calm again when hearing the end.
