Charity - Donation
When we started this zine, we did not know what to expect. But as it slowly gained popularity, we realized something incredible. What once was just a small corner of the fanbase had the power to do something so much greater. After the series ended, we were so pained to see not only the loss of our favorite purple prince, but to see the abuse he suffered. In response to this, one of our participants brought forward an idea for a charity that fights to end all forms of abuse towards children. In the back of our minds, we knew this was the best course of action. Because even though this abuse was in fiction, abuse is never fictional.
Prevent Child Abuse America is one of the most well known charities of its kind. It provides aid to children and parents to help those in bad situations and prevent them from happening to anyone else. That being said, we are proud to say that we made a donation that will surely have an impact. With all the money raised, the donation totaled $900. It is incredible to see how many people wanted to chip in to this cause and support not only the zine, but the message and charity behind it. Thank you all so much.
