casually gets distracted by the mystic messenger Christmas dlc lmao
hidetaka is a bundle of sin and i’m not sure if i should be worried about how happy that makes me or nah. probably nah.
It had been a troublesome week.
She was put in charge of the English department’s upcoming field trip. Well, more like her boyfriend volunteered her for the job, a teasing smirk decorating his handsome face as he pushed the assignment off on her.
She had been annoyed, initially, but soon realized the reason he neglected the task was due to an impromptu translation job his editor hoisted on him.
She could see his stress through his merciless pestering, and though he was being considerate in his own way by not wanting to bother her with his problems, she couldn’t help but get concerned.
So, she resigned herself to a handful of long nights and a few missed meals. If she could spend all day dealing with high school students, she should be able to handle at least this much.
She had been running on caffeine for most of the day - make that most of the week - and though she could feel herself dragging she was doing her best to fight it off. Hidetaka had noticed, she was certain. He always managed to see the things others chose to ignore, despite what he elected to do (or not do, in some cases) with the information.
She made it to lunch, finally, but just when the class released and she prepared to run off to the teacher’s lounge, she was overcome by a searing sensation of nausea. She heard her name called frantically, as two strong arms wrapped around her lithe frame. The world went black before she had time to process what it is that went down.
When she finally came to, a throbbing sensation leaving her severely disoriented, she was able to make out the walls of Kenzo’s room. However, the lackadaisical nurse was nowhere to be found, the other bed he normally used to lounge as vacant as his desk.
“Well, look who finally woke up.”
She turned her head, and she was greeted with the sight of a thoroughly unimpressed Hidetaka. His arms were crossed, his face carefully failing to show what is really going through his head.
“What happened?” she asked, knowing the answer but hoping the communication would help calm him somewhat.
It didn’t, but rather, he flashed the fake smile she’s grown to hate. His eyes shut, and he appeared deceptively pleasant.
“You fainted… straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”
She flinches, sitting up and throwing her legs over the side of the bed. It’s true that between their individual commitments they hadn’t seen much of each other recently, but that what hardly her motivation. “I-I wasn’t trying-”
He sighs, reaching out to flick her forehead. She yelps, rubbing at it. “Moron. You always push yourself too far.”
“I’m sorry,” she mutters, looking up at him through her lashes.
He leans down so he’s eye level with her, his genteel act replaced by his genuine, unimpressed persona. Still, there’s a hint of worry in his gaze, and she knows he must have been panicked when she lost consciousness. “You should be. If you’re having trouble, tell me.”
She smiles, feeling an overwhelming sense of affection for the man, when his entire expression shifts. He’s smirking at her, the sadistic part of his personality rearing its ugly head.
“Well, since we’re here alone, you may as well make it up to me.”
She doesn’t have time to protest before his lips are on hers in an aggressive kiss, swallowing any complaints she may still have.
