caveats:
It does not have the fur bc that was half? the tris in the d1 rip I had
I'm too lazy to edit the normal so the glow gradient is more gradual
I decimated it a bit too much but its fiiiine the texture is weird in one area under the hilt
If you wanna turn off the glow you can just turn the emission in the colorset to pure black

is there a way to export modded character models from FF14 using Penumbra? or do I have to use textools? I want to rotate my blorbo in blender and I'd prefer to use penumbra if possible
penumbra can spit out gltf files blender imports them great
but its realllly involved to get A lot of things exported tho since the steps are as far as i can tell,
make a new mod. get file path of the model you want.
EDIT: I LIED get the actual path, on the right maybe? not game path
paste that path into the model tab in advanced settings for your new mod. click to save to the new mod's folder.
now select from the drop down to- (this step will get messier as you paste more paths so. i dont like exporting from penumbra.)
to finally get this export area
ive had trouble exporting things I've edited beforehand tho, bc of my own nightmare method of doing things in old files
I much prefer exporting outta textools since blender and photoshop will be at peace without a whole game running offa my gpu yknow
textools is like. search item name. click item. click model tab. export fbx. done. smile.
if you have broken your game install like i have (3 times. 3 times already) so i understand the need LMAO.
