"Alchemy components." the answer is simple but truthful. He doesn’t have the energy to lie and keep track of what he said and embellishing on that lie if prompted enough times. No...he's focused on fulfilling this damned objective and getting somewhere to sleep.
Hopefully some place close had an opening. ...hopefully the place wasn't a motel. Ugh.
He briskly walks forward, and the machine activates. It's very much like those you'd find at carnivals... except it's voice was far too clear and realistic.

"Not interested," Vincent grouses as he reaches the door and begins examining it for spells or traps. Og course, there are a Lot. Prominently of the fire element. It's like a cruel joke. Burn the witch.
He's careful as he pulls out a book, a paint marker and begins making counter sigils.
Gears whirring, and seemingly insulted despite the unchanging expression on its face...the witch has the feeling he's being glared at. But as long as it doesn't try anything he doesn't give a rat's ass.
It's perfectly normal as it jerkily turns toward the stranger and tries its spiel on him.

"Oh." He wasn't sure what to expect, but that caught a smidgen off guard. "Cool. What kinda components?" Sorry, Vincent, Miles was curious and was going to linger around a bit longer now.
The sudden noise and movement from ~The Great and Powerful Mozon~ had him jumping, hand darting to his chest to calm his heart, before he shot the thing a quick glare, and shook his head with a tut.
His glare would soften a moment when it seemingly stopped taking when told to do so, but, after a beat, it would be back in full force. Didn't like that.
He was about to take a step closer, to see what the stranger was doing, only to be stop in his tracks as the stupid thing spoke up again. "...M'pretty sure I already know the trajectory of m'love life, so thanks, but no thanks. And unless ya got the winnin' lottery numbers, I'm gonna haffta agree with him--" He would jerk his thumb towards Vincent.
<Mozon can easily tell you that! Easily! Wealth enough that you would not know what to do with it!> the thing states confidently, and it's likely true. Maybe it's evdn being humble. But what would it ask in return? Vincent would bet on the stranger's soul.
Maybe his firstborn.
"Things like sulphur, unicorn hairs, ginger root, golem hearts. And so on." Vincent answers, not stopping what he was doing as he explains. Halfway there. Careful, he can hear his instructor say, don't fuck it up so close to the goal.
<Mozon could tell you the code, witch man.> it says, Vincent huffs in annoyance. Had to put the 'witch' part out there didn't it? Trying to sow seeds of distrust or cause panic. He doubts it'll work out either way. Vincent wasn't opposed to putting them both out of commission for however long gathering took.
With the last sigil in place, the lock brightly shines spins back and forth in increments. Much like a combination lock. Vincent watches patiently, on alert for any more traps or trouble. It's glinting a lot. But he's bent over it, despite it not being in any pattern he recognises it could still be a signal. With a final burst of light, the hatch opens with a terrible creaking. Vincent takes three purification orbs and throws them down with varying amounts of strength.
He wasn't about to breathe in noxious fumes.
