Somebody tell me the dog got adopted. I’m too angry to look it up myself.

The dog did get adopted! After the story went viral a lot of people were volunteering to take her in. The family didn’t get a new dog, apparently because they “didn’t find the breed they were looking for”, and after this I’m pretty sure the shelter has them blacklisted. (x)
