yuuta and maki are shocked to find you—a civilian—trapped with a dangerous curse during one of their missions. you’re alive, but critically injured and unconscious by the time they rescue you; you don’t officially meet your saviors until some time later when you’re at the hospital, receiving care. they both visit you daily (sometimes separately, depending on their schedules). and you develop an unlikely friendship with the two sorcerers. they tell you about their line of work, and while it’s hard for you to believe them, it’s the only way to explain how you ended up in your current situation.

by the time you’ve recovered and are ready to return home, you invite the pair over to your place for a celebration—you want to thank them for all of their help. but they insist that you come to theirs; they don’t want to put pressure on you, after all. you still aren’t one hundred percent. and when their two, smiling faces greet you at the door of their apartment, you’re thrilled to have such wonderful friends. little do you know—once you step through the threshold—they don’t intend on ever letting you leave.

you were never suppose to rule, you had an older brother :/ but he slaughters everyone in your family. everyone but you. and then he marries you. for your claim. and as a spoil of war. makes you sit on his lap during council meetings, chained up like some sort of beast because you’re always trying to claw his eyes out.

as a wedding gift to you he executes those that betrayed your family for his cause <3 not quite a smart move politically but his bride deserves some blood shed in her name.

i’ve slept on this and decided that actually the princess is the older sibling and there’s festering resentment on her end that her younger brother is heir over her. and well…she’s devastated over her family’s deaths. and fearful of her tenuous position under the conquerors thumb. but sukuna gave her a crown that she would’ve never have gotten to wear otherwise.
