A question, what do you do when you feel bad or depressed? And when this happens, which of them is more difficult to cheer up or make them happy again? (TF2)
For me personally, I tend to hide away from people, blast music and read fanfiction till I feel up to dealing with people again (not a very good solution). But I’m going to focus this on the mercs and how they are and how to help them. My Inbox is always open for anyone who needs someone to talk to! I’m no professional, but I’m here.
Scout
- He will run away
- That is what he's good at anyway. No one else can keep up with him, and by the time they do he will have found somewhere else to go.
- Once someone found him and was able to talk to him, he would just talk and let it out, which is probably exactly what he needs.
- A little bit of ego stroking wouldn’t hurt him, or you, for a while
Soldier
- He would start slacking on his routines.
- Tired, he would just get too tired to complete anything and would just move to the next.
- His volume would either decrease or increase, more often than not the first.
- Letting him talk out what's on his mind would be wonderful for him too. Possibly get Demo to talk to him, they are buddies afterall.
- Remind him of his ‘accomplishments’ to try to bring his spirits up and it will most likely bring a smile to his face
Pyro
- Pyro will have seemingly disappeared. No Balloonicorns floating around, no drawing scattered, nothing.
- Of course, he is still in pyroland but it's surprisingly quiet without him running around
- Bring him some sweets, or balloons or something to get him to open up. Even if you can’t understand him just being there will help a bit.
Demo
- He's going to get more drunk than usual or he would just sober up.
- If he's drinking, take it away and switch it with something non alcoholic. If he's sober, bring him something non alcoholic to drink
Heavy
- He's pretty quiet to begin with, but I see him as getting near silent. Probably goes out to fight something, anything, to get his mind off what's bothering him.
- Just letting him know that you are their for him would lift his mood
Engineer
- Honey, he's a texan boi, he don’t got no problems
- (He's lying)
- His machines are his life so expect him to be in there either working till he passes out or simply sitting there listening to the sound of his sentries beeping.
- Perhaps bring him a drink and sit with him for a while, wait till he opens up. It will happen.
Medic
- Oh please, it's simply a slight imbalance of chemicals in his brain, nothing to worry about. He will go back to normal when he respawns
- He was slightly confused when he felt the same way.
- If anyone were to ask him if anything is wrong with him he would immediately yell that he is the medical professional, no one else.
- You would likely find him in his lab crying, the lab being in absolute chaos. His birds are sitting right by him.
- Give him a shoulder to cry on, he won't admit he needs it but he will accept your help
Sniper
- Something is wrong when he stops saying as many 1 liners to the enemy as he shoots.
- It doesn’t help that he is already a pretty quiet guy.
- If you can’t find him in his camper or in his ‘nest’ check his room in the base. He doesn’t like the place but it's the only likely option left
- He would likely be sitting in the room in the dark, looking out of the window.
- Just wrap the poor man in a hug. He needs it.
Spy
- You better be really good at seeing through a facade, because this man can put up a darn good one.
- The only time he faltered was when his son was dying right in front of him with no respawn.
- Just sit with him in the smoking room and don’t leave him be. He really needs the company more than he would ever admit
I hope this is what you wanted, and I’m sorry this took me so long. If you were wanting something else feel free to send me another ask and I’ll get onto it as soon as I can.
