Premise: After the bomb a few generations ago that stripped the neighboring lands of their life, the delicate balance of the elements over the remaining area of the city has been disturbed and the Guardian Spirit of Souls was killed. The other Guardians tried to resurrect the Spirit of Souls - Spiro, but it wasn't completely successful. Without a functional Spirit of Souls, the balance has been withering. And now strange dark spirits are emerging to seek the life energy that they have lost. Die, the reincarnation of Spiro, is trying to ignore people except for his sister, Nawra - Guardian Spirit of Plants. But when people come to him, seeking help because creatures are killing people, he realizes he has no choice but to try again at the task he failed years ago.

ABOUT ME Hello! I'm Evan, also known as firstdraft or evancetera. As it's been over two years since my last introduction, and my pinned post is woefully out of date, I thought I'd write a new one. I'm also coming off a writeblr hiatus of sorts, and I'm very glad to be back!

So, about me! I'm 32 years old, non-binary, bi & aro/acespec, and my pronouns are they/them or he/him. I'm currently a part-time undergrad student, tentatively majoring in computer science, and I live in Michigan with my family and my cat. I have adhd, depression, and social anxiety, and I get chronic migraines.

Hello from the voids of Fate! My name is Francis Ravel. I am a writer of every genre and style, and it is my personal goal to create so many tales that people begin to think I was divinely cursed to be mad or terrifyingly in control.

I have *backstory*, but if anything, it has made me absolutely set in my goal to change the world for the better. It is my sincerest wish to make art that will inspire those who have gone through similar things to persevere, and learn to love to live, so that one day I in turn will get to hear their story.

My current WIP, which will most likely be my main work for the next 20 years, is entitled Night Myths and Day Mares. Book one is available now, and Book two is well on its way to being completed.

I hope every writer, would be writer, hopeful writer, or person who wishes to one day put pen to paper will reach out. I can't wait to see the worlds you've created, and I hope you will allow me to give you a tour through my creations.

Some key facts first:

I'm Wren, I'm 34 and from the UK. I am also autistic and my rainbow credentials are that I'm a trans guy, grey-asexual, and somehow also pretty gay 😉

I write fantasy, and particularly love to explore how the historical worlds of traditional fantasy might look if they were allowed to develop into the modern era.

My characters tend to be neurodivergent, with many of them being ADHD or autistic, even if the fantasy world doesn't have a term for it. I develop all my works with my partner, who is ADHD, so these are all own-voices. Most of my characters are also queer, though this hasn't yet been explored to its full extent in my first book (I hope to show more of this in the sequel). I also like to write about trauma and healing through found family and connections with others.

I've been writing properly for about 4 years now and have two ongoing projects.

Project 1:

The Mechanics of Magic

Across the city, a string of strange magic attacks prompts an investigation by Ardveld’s newly appointed Head of Magical Affairs, Tamara. What she discovers threatens to reveal the truth about Ardveld’s takeover, and will determine the future of the survivors.

The Mechanics of Magic is a multiple-pov fantasy novel set in an original world where magic exists openly alongside early internet-level technology.

The book follows the surviving prince of a deposed magical royal family (who has been living in secret for two decades) trying to rescue his son from the government whilst uncovering the truth about his family's murder.

This book is my passion and I will make a proper WIP post for it, but to summarise here, Mechanics is my first book and I self-published it last year. No content warnings. It was written to stand alone, but I am now working on the sequel as there is much more to explore with these characters and their journey.

Mechanics has been awarded a B.R.A.G medallion and has a 4.3 star rating, but for my own peace of mind I am soon to release a second edition with a new cover after working with a great editor to get it as good as it can possibly be before book 2.

Project 2:

Darkness at the heart of my love (temporary title. Tag darknessattheheart)

The chosen one is forcibly turned by the vampire leader's son. A gay, vampire romance that I am posting chapter by chapter on AO3.

This is my fun side project. It's very different from my fantasy series and has an 18+ rating for some explicit content. I'm currently writing chapter 21 of 26 and hope to finish in the next two months.

Familia Trilogy - Crime Fiction:

Every powerful person in NYC has one man’s name on their lips, Matteo Sasso-Volcov. Born in the spring of 1990, his birth brought the bloodiest decade NYC had ever seen. Now 33 years later, Matteo uncovers that the war his parents started never came to an end with his father’s murder. It’s been silently brewing behind closed doors, no longer between Volcov’s and Sasso’s. All the powerhouses of NYC are now tangled in to the Volcov’s family drama. Both haunted by nightmares they can't comprehend they venture out together in search of what greater purpose they believe they must serve.

Hello, I'm Chief, I write under TC Smith, and I am (as far as I know) not a cat. People are prone to mispronouncing and/or misspelling my real name including my last name containing all of two letters. This is a phenomenon that confuses me to this day because my name (which is Mandarin pinyin) is phonetic and is pronounced exactly how it's spelled.

I work in cybersecurity during the day. (Yes you can message me or send asks about my job btw)

I unconsciously tend to write about my own experiences so here a list of themes, tropes and similar things I naturally tend to write about. I think this is better than a self-id list and more interesting. This is no particular order of importance or how much I use it and of course not everything is always included.

⚔ WHAT I WRITE & WIPS ⚔

Tends to lean toward general fiction, magical realism, low fantasy, urban, legal, drama, some comedy here and there, however I can construct a story around topics important to me, LGBTQIA+ content and sometimes essays (but probably not here). Liz is Victorian youth under most unfortunate circumstances where her father and community is controlled by power, greed and superstition around her albinism. But, there is good reason to be superstitious of the whole Nicia family, actually. Especially when Liz begins going down a horribly wrong path in her life in a strange new universe...with those who care as an only lifeline from the rarely administered and extremely brutal death penalty.

-The Scenery

He's a knight in the modern age but also a lawyer, and he's quite the odd character. But, the one who does see his beauty is the prince, who is ostracized for his reprobate ways, shall we say. His mother wishes to arrange a marriage to scare away a rival nation. So, Prince Castillo Hires him, Sir Mueller, to annul the marriage. This doesn't come without defending, or kneeling to, his beloved prince, and proving just how deviant they really are.

-Legend of Genesis

A commonly accepted legend of how Gnex came to be. Ji wanted to punish those who kill, only to hypocritically kill the emperor and end up in his own universe. But, he knows he is god, and he will reign. He's sure no one can defeat him. And if so, he will be back once again.
