Sorry about the poor quality, but I literally can’t get enough of this scene. Just brilliantly subtle, both of them. And so sweet. Her little head shake before she says “women’s issues” is the most precious thing. It’s very Burns and Allen to me. Quite possible my favorite scene of the show ever.

And this one! Almost time for a series rewatch me thinks :)

TBM Sneak Preview break-down

Ok, so what so we have?

A spooky house

Some dead people

Jean being given an action style intro.

Alice with a new hairstyle.

Jean snooping (not a huge departure there tbh)

Alice and Matthew crimesolving together *a lot*

Jean and Matthew crimesolving together

Jean taking the new young constable under her wing *cough*

Matthew talking to Hobart

Jean talking to Cec

Someone (Matthew?) calling Jean “detective Blake”

Jean acting even sassier than usual

Jean pulling out a chair?

Either a Lord Mayor or a member of the Spanish Inquisition threatening Jean

Am I missing anything?

Is it filmed at Rippon Lea?

I just saw the promo and I already want to interrogate the wardrobe department about their clothing decisions for Jean. Are the new, somewhat fancier clothes choices because of the new fashion trends at the time, is it because her class status is now arguably higher (although I am not well-versed in mid-20th century australian class system - if that even is the right word for it - to discuss this), is it because she is now ‘Detective Blake’, or is it just for the aesthetic? She always looks fantastic but there has been some sort of a shift here and I am intrigued.

Her clothing appears to be mostly blue in the movie. There is a reason for it, Carrie Kennedy would never let it be happenstance!
