About Mods for TW3

Okay, so It came to my attention that some of my mods don’t react well to being installed via Nexus’s Vortex or a mod manager, so if you want to use my mods i highly recomend you install them manually, here’s a very small ‘tutorial’ on how to do it

but first things first, if you are modding your game : INSTALL THE MOD LIMIT FIX , you can hit the tw3 mod limit extremely fast depending on which mods you install ! ( mod limit can cause infinite loading and crashes ) this fix makes sure you don’t have to worry about that anymore

  1. prepare your game for manual install ( it’s stupidly easy )
  2. manually installing a mod (it’s even easier )
  3. about the load order ( dealing with conflicts and combining mods )
  4. ‘tutorials’ and mod making help tag
  5. will add more later if i think of something else

note that reading the mod description before you install a mod is the still the best way to know how to avoid a conflict and install a mod properly !

Hi! Can you please tell me which face and makeup mods are used in the yen gifs you posted? the one where she is wearing the wyzima torso and dark lips in the last wish quest. I'm obsessed, she looks so beautiful. Thank you ❤️ if the mods aren't free i don't mind! worth every penny tbh.

Hi! I'm so sorry to bother you about this, especially since you've stopped modding The Witcher, but can I ask if your mod for longer hair for Eskel is avaliable for download somewhere? 🥲 I've only recently gotten into The Witcher (LATEEE I KNOW) and I completely fell in love with this look while scrolling the tags. Have a lovely day!

Hi ! No it's not available, sorry, the only mods available to download are the one on my nexus page or the ones tagged 'ddl link' on this blog

Have a nice day ! And sorry, this is probably not the answer you wanted 🥲

Oh I see :'( Thank you for your work on the Witcher 3! My game experience became so much better thanks to your mods. Hope to see more of your works. One last little question: will you release some of your WIP mods on your Ko-fi ? If not don't worry, I'm okay with it cause you have already done an amazing job in the modding community! ♡

My pleasure ! But no i won't post WIP mods on ko-fi anymore, and speaking of the WIP folder while the page itself is still up (so people who had the link to it before can still access it) i no longer give out the link, so we can consider it closed.

Hello Bububull, have you stop modding Witcher 3 ? :( Hope you're doing well

Hello ! I'm doing well yes , i hope you do too !

Yes i have, the nextgen update caused me a LOT of issues despite me keeping the classic version ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and the community being what it is was the final nail in the coffin, i was more than happy to jump to another game completely, love learning new things~

the only regret i have is the all the book characters models i had started and never got to either finish or see in game but i'll simply repurpose the assets 😊

Hiiiii ! Hope you're doing ok! I saw that you were on BG3 nexus and I wanted to thank you cause you're making my experience even more amazing! <3 I was wondering with this incredible peace of art, did BG3 inspired you for your future creation/mods in Witcher 3 ? (for exemple for the design of some clothes, hair ect....) Wish you the best ! A fan <3

Hi ! Yea i'm doing ok, lots of stuff happening irl so kind of busy but i manage

Haha i'm glad you liked my bg3 mods 😁 i'm still trying to find my footing with the process and tools

I'd say it's the other way around , i've be doing a lot of porting of both vanilla models and ones i've made, repurposing assets i've never uploaded... but i don't plan on doing any more mods for tw3 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Best to you too !! <3

[this is a thank you message ☺️]

Hey! Just a small message to say that I figured out my issues by looking at your other tutorials. Thanks to you I finally understood how modding the game worked, and I could do swap mods without too much trouble! So a huge thank you to you, and please keep doing these amazing tutorials because there are clearly not enough 😂

Have an amazing day!

ha glad you've figured it out ^^

looks like all the time i spent on those turorials wasn't completely wasted in the end :'D i'm not modding tw3 anymore so there'll be no more tutorials from me though

have a great day and have fun modding !

Hey there!

Sorry I have another question still related to outfits. I saw in the video you sent me that you're modifying one of Yen's outfits, and then recooking it into the game. But is it possible to take an outfit from a character and transfer it to another ? Like if I wanted to transfer one of Geralt's outfits to Regis?

Thanks a ton :)

Avatar

hey!

it is, i'd call that a swap mod

i have a tutorial here showing how to swap Anisse and Margaritta's outfits

and here is a video where i also swap assets ( but in your case you'll have to find the assets in the game files and not from an external mod ( asset browser and not import from other mod) )

Hello ! I hope you see my message, I want to bring a character from Witcher 2 to Witcher 3. I managed to extract the character model from the Witcher 2 files, but how can I import it into Witcher 3? I can import textures, but I don't know how to import the character model. I tried Blender, but Blender does not accept the character model I transferred.

hello

unfortunately i don't think i can help you with this

i no longer mod the witcher 3 so idk if things evolved since but Blender was madatory to porting models from other games since you have to skin the new model to a witcher 3 armature and set up materials

maybe you're missing a blender addon ?

Hello! I am amazed by your work, and I am very curious as to what software you use to make new clothes? Blender ? Marvelous Designer? Are you stripping the 3D characters first and then adding new clothing? Thank you :)

Avatar

hello !

I use blender exlusively, i did try Marvelous designer but couldn't get into it before the end of the free trial lmao

if you want to make new clothes for the characters the easiest way to do it is to use clothes from the game as base and edit them ( saves you a lot time since the heavy work is already done , i have a tutorial showing how i do an outfit edit for Yennefer using only game assets ->

then once you feel more comfortable adding bits and pieces made from scratch never hurts ;)

not sure what you mean but to add new clothes i just replaced the vanilla outfit meshes with the new modded ones, simple as that

I wanted to see this scene and I finally got it. Queen Meve calls Anseis to account for going to Toussaint even though she forbade him to go 😅

You probably know it since those are mods made by you but I recently downloaded your mod for Yen to have darker make-up while I still had the one you made and had a beta of her with Eva Green face and OMG the two of them work so well together

Avatar

I actually didn't know :'D somehow it never crossed my mind to try them both together so that's good to know ! 😄
