I like to think that to Niffty, Alastor is a father figure. And they commit crimes together
It turns out Sir Pentious actually has no idea where the Egg Bois come from. They just pop up out of nowhere. He stopped tried to figure it out eventually.

Arackniss burns himself with his cigarettes or cigars when he's really stressed or emotional. He always bottles up his feelings, and doesn't know how to show emotions. So he thinks it's his one escape. (Some Pentniss included) But when he started dating Pent, he was having more stress cause he was worried about his father finding out. Eventually Pent found out about Niss burning himself, and felt so guilty that he hadn't found out sooner. He didn't want his little spider hurting like this. He wanted him to feel safe with him.
