Hello yes so it’s unthinkable to me that anyone could watch the first op of Fukigen na Mononokean and think that Itsuki and Hanae...aren’t in love with each other?

The lyrics are literally, “I wonder what I'm known as, Inside your heart... though I already know, It's one simple word: "Friend". But the twinging feeling within my heart, won't allow me to believe that lie. Though I don't want things to continue like this, I suppose it's better than never seeing you again. If I were to take one step forward, I'm sure I'd never be able to go back... so today, I'm still keeping it a secret within my heart. Ahh... I'm such a coward.”

And while it could be from either Itsuki or Hanae’s perspective, it’s always made a lot more sense to me if it’s from Itsuki’s. Even from the second episode, Itsuki acknowledges that he doesn’t have Hanae’s courage. Itsuki is the one who’s afraid to get close to people, and even though he calls Hanae “five year old” every other episode, we get the feeling he’s aware that Hanae is able to interact with humans much better than he can. Hanae would be willing to take that step forward, he isn’t scared of his emotions and he often acts without worrying first. Itsuki, though, is very much a planner and a worrier. He doesn’t even know how to admit his feelings to himself, at first, much less act on them.

Hanae consistently tries to get closer to him and Itsuki pushes him away by being aloof and critical, but it doesn’t work. And that terrifies Itsuki, because it’s always worked before but Hanae refuses to let it. Hanae is always taking steps forward in their relationship, and it’s Itsuki that’s scared to take the step he really wants to take, for fear of losing the one human he cares more about than anything, even yokai.

Basically, they’re in love and the lyrics to Tomodachi Meter prove it thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

ugh, okay. Unfollowing. I was a fan of their organization’s fancy dress code but I didn’t know they were kidnapping inmates and forcibly experimenting on them to have elemental powers or cuffs turning into weapons :/

Reading back through the manga, Mahiru’s and lawless’s relationship is much more developed than I thought it was. This whole time I’ve been thinking that they don’t really interact much and they just sort of, coexist together but that’s not true. They care about each other, lawless doesn’t just care about licht he cares about Mahiru he appreciates mahiru for helping him and for helping kuro to change, lawless cares about what mahiru wants and wants to fight for what mahiru wants, he believes in mahiru and thinks of him as not just some eve but as someone important to him and to everyone. I don’t remember the exact page but I know there was a scene in the C3 ark where lawless had said that maybe Tsurugi was to far gone to help in which Mahiru replied “I don’t like giving up with excuses like it’s no use or it’s to late.” In which lawless says “heh I know.” Looking at that I realized that they are closer than I originally thought they were and there’s a bunch more scenes that show their closeness throughout the manga. Seeing lawless and mahiru as close friends is definitely a favorite though!

The crux of Clara and Azz interactions is that Azz acts like he wants all Irumas attention to himself and that he just finds Clara annoying but if someone else tried to steal Clara's attention from Azz and Iruma someone would have to physically stop Azz from biting them.

Obsessed with the idea of somehow iruma's parents came to the demon world to get Iruma back (idk why maybe cuz they need to use him to scam people or sum stuff) and Sullivan's fury rained over them and we get to see just how powerful Sullivan is at full level. And then when iruma's parents are gone (dead or run away lol), Sullivan turn 180 and became the grandpa we know and just go "nooooo sorry you had to see that Iruma Kun. You must think grandpa is scaryyyy. Grandpa is not scary, grandpa just loves Iruma Kun so muuuuch! ToT"

Hugs? Hugs are the best. Well, maybe second best to cuddling…but that is just a very long version of a hug, so it’s technically still the best.

Because you can convey so much with a hug, and everyone hugs differently!

For example my brother Romano he is not the biggest fan of hugs. But when we do hug he always hugs me with one arm around my waist and the other around the upper back just below my shoulder. We often rest our chin on each other’s shoulders. This is often a hug for comfort and it’s a rarity so I treasure it.

Germany on the other hand, I hug a lot, but somehow the beginning always feels a bit awkward, even after all these years. It’s is a sign that he doesn’t hug a lot still. My arms can’t quite reach across his broad frame but his hugs never fail to make me feel warm, safe and loved. And I hope my hugs convey even a fraction of those feelings back at him.
