HAPPY 14TH LIMOVERSARY –– On the seventh of November, 2007, Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf’s iconic romance began in “Victor, Victrola,” Season 1, Episode 7 of Gossip Girl

“Prohibition never stood a chance against exhibition. It’s human nature to be free. And no matter how long you try to be good, you can’t keep a bad girl down.”

B O O K S  W E   L O V E  - Most underrated series

“You want to send in harnessed ferrets through a laundry vent?” Augustine clearly had difficulty coming to terms with that idea.
“Yes,” Cornelius said.
I blinked. “Wouldn’t the vent be secured by an alarm?”
The three of them looked at me as if I’d suddenly sprouted a second head.
“It doesn’t make sense to secure a laundry vent,” Rogan explained. “It’s too small and it opens into a dryer.”
“I’m curious, what are you picturing exactly?” Augustine asked. “A crisscrossing pattern of red laser beams and ferrets in harnesses slithering through it like ninjas?”
(…)
Three minutes later Loki, the lighter ferret, squirmed out of the hole and pulled off the clamp, disconnecting the duct.
Rogan lifted his cell to his ear and said quietly, “Margaret? Look into putting pressure sensors into our dryer vents … Yes. Dryer vents.”
Augustine was typing something on his phone, his face unreadable. Serves you right.

Hidden Legacy by Ilona Andrews

I just finished reading the first three novels of Hidden Legacy by Ilona Andrews and honestly I’m pretty bummed out that the next novels don’t revolve around Nevada Baylor and Conner Rogan. I believe that Nevada and Conner got married so Nevada is house Rogan now and that’s how another sister takes over as head of house Baylor. I’m not even a little bit interested in reading about the sisters as main characters. I was really excited to read all about Nevada and Conner’s married life and Nevada getting inducted into the world of Primes, and her and Conner having babies. I honestly thought future books would deal with the evil grandmother Victoria and that favor Nevada owes the record keeper and Michael. I don’t know. Nevada and Conner’s story feels unfinished to me so that’s why I’m super bummed out about the sisters taking the lead in the other books. Also, they’re practically children still so their stories are hard for me to take seriously. They’ve been spoiled brats, with no responsibility and super immature in the first three books. I have no interest in reading about them. This is so sad. Anyway, I’m getting started on Radiance, the first novel in Wraith Kings series by Grace Draven.

“Yes, I’m a hermit. Mostly I brood,” Mad Rogan said. “Also I’m very good at wallowing in self-pity. I spend my days steeped in melancholy, looking out the window. Occasionally a single tear quietly rolls down my cheek.” Arabella and Lina snickered in unison. “Do you also brush a white orchid against your lips?” Arabella put in. “While sad music plays in the background?” Lina grinned.”

“Mom?“ Mother turned to Grandmother. "What?” “She’s going to lunch with her kidnapper!” “Take a picture for me,” Grandma said.
