           You’re on autopilot as you peruse the museum, pretending to view the artifacts as you scope out the security. The wall of masks you’re facing fade out of your attention as you note the red lights of the oscillating cameras place every few feet along the walls. You’ve counted five of those around this room alone, and as you walk to an adjacent display case, you notice a total of four guards in your immediate vicinity. If your target display case, like the other cases, had no sensors, the aforementioned security would be no problem for you.

           You can see the object of your interest in your periphery, its Vibranium head dirtied with centuries of exchanging hands. If getting it out would be easy, then selling it would be even easier. With everything that happened with the Avengers following the Sokovia Accords, your customers were even more eager than usual to get their hands on the metal.

            Feigning interest in the exhibit in front of you, you catch your reflection in the glass. It’s just you, alone like always. In your field of theft and deception, having partners was a liability, a chance for someone to cut you short or cut you out completely. There was no way you’d risk a partner screwing up a deal; working alone was the way to go. At the very least, you knew you could always trust yourself.

           Footsteps approach from behind, and you recognize them immediately. You don’t even have to look up to know it was Erik Killmonger standing beside you with a smug sense of swagger on his face.

Hope you’re all doing well. Senior year has gotten the best of me, with school, college apps, and scholarship all coming at me, but never fear! Updates!

Hey guys,

First, I wanted to give a huge thank you for hitting 7.2K followers! I always say this, but you guys mean the world to me. I can’t believe so many people actively seek out the silly little things that I write. Never in my wildest dreams would I expect any one to even read my work, so just know that I love and appreciate each and every one of you <3

Second, tomorrow is my first day of school! I will be entering my senior year of high school (shout out to my fellow members of the class of 2018) and this means the amount of time I can devote to this blog will be heavily reduced. I’ll leave requests open for another month or so, and I’ll still be writing, but just expect fewer posts. It truly breaks my heart, because I love writing for you guys, but school is my priority after all. 

That being said, I did start another Peter Parker imagine the other day based off the line “Y/N, will you marry me?” and I am committed to finishing it within a reasonable time. So, at the very least, I can guarantee one imagine in the near future haha.
