Been tagged in the six selfie thing a lot. Here’s a few years of progress pics. 140lb - 193lb progression.

You can do it too. I’m really just a soccer player from Wisconsin who didn’t make it.

“You can do it too” Best fucking quote right there

*brb going to go on a little rant*

As most of you know, at the beginning of this year I decided to talk a step back from fitness and the intensity that I was approaching it with to find a more balanced lifestyle. Why? Because every single day of my life was a mental battle. I HAD to avoid certain foods because they wouldn’t fit my macros, and I’d spend hours thinking about it. I HAD to get in my lifts and do cardio, 5-6x a week, which often meant skipping classes because I could not physically fit in everything with my schedule (yay for paying $40k a year to skip classes for a lift). I found myself having anxiety when hanging out with friends because things weren’t in my control.

A lot of you called me dedicated, determined, willing to give it my all, and at the time I thought that’s what it was, but being dedicated and being disordered look very similar when you’re balls deep in an obsession. Holla at having an extremely addictive personality.

My point is this: not everyone is like me and gets obsessed with things, but if you are, step back and really think it through. Are you putting your entire life on hold just for a physique? If so, why? It’s important to find BALANCE between being a freaking human being and doing fun human things and being an athlete. My goal has never been to be a professional athlete, so there’s no sense in putting your life on hold to go do some damn deadlifts.

Find a balance between the gym, fun foods, healthy foods, playing with friends and just LIVING! You may not end up with a 6 pack, but you may end up with happiness which is 1027373748393948 times more valuable.

I love you so much

Correct me if I’m wrong but are you lifting barefoot at one point?? Is this a thing?? Am I lifting illiterate?? Lol jk we all know I am lifting illiterate but seriously is this a thing?

Hahahah! Yes I was barefoot lol!!!

I wasn’t wearing the right shoes and my feet were sliding when I was wearing just socks so I said yolo and took them off.

Only for squats and deadlifts because I’m trying to work on strength and I have more power barefoot.

Everything else I wear shoes.

I am also gross

For years and years I was a slave to the scale. Weight myself 48583 times a day and letting the number I saw alter my mood completely. I felt trapped and controlled by numbers. See a good number? Happy Aubrey!!!! Bad number??? Terrible mood for the rest of the day. RIDICULOUS. NUMBERS ON THE SCALE MEAN NADA. Gained 2 pounds? Maybe you just need to poo. Your weight fluctuates CONSTANTLY! I try my hardest to take pictures and go by how I look and feel. I have been killing my workouts and feeling great. Not weighing myself has been freeing and relieving. People always ask how to stop. And honestly, you just have to face your fear and end your relationship with the scale. Start small and decrease the amount of times you use it. Less and less will soon = NEVER. ❤️ I promise it’s worth it
