Bird’s list of Really Stellar Fanfiction.net Loki Fics:

none of which are posted in any particular order, all of which are OLD

  • Just a Rose on a Star: It wouldn’t be the first time Tony Stark had flirted with death. But no matter what the others said, reading stories to the quarantined God of Mischief was definitely one of his better ideas. 
  •  Notes: A nice lyrical FrostIron fic with Loki whump on the side. Loki and Tony with many references to The Little Prince
  • Loki’s Blanket:  “So the whole sick thing, that related to your magic fading?” Even slightly drunk Tony felt a thrill of danger at the look he got.
  • Notes: slightly FrostIron, slow and sad. This fic made me cry in 2012…and 2015…. and 2019….. and 2021
  • Team Is a Four Letter Word:  The fourth part of the teamwork series. Pairing/Characters: Teamfic, no Pairings. Warnings: Suicide attempt, and some swear words. Summary: After some serious therapy, Loki has been a member of the Avengers for 2 years, but when an attack by Doom leaves him gravely ill, his teammates have to fight to save his life.
  • Notes: This fic is so pure you could call it camp. Everyone lives in Avengers Tower and they’re friends who support each other <3 I read the first three parts of the series out of curiosity but this fic is fine as a read-alone as long as you’re willing to accept Avenger!Loki
  • Lost Boys: When Loki is captured by Shield, they discover a dark secret between Loki and Odin. My take on Loki’s ‘monster’ kids. Mpreg, no pairings
  • Notes: in this one Loki is a parent and stressed, I liked the way he and Thor interact a lot. TW: for references to abortion, child abuse, and child death
  • Truthfully: Loki had every intention of wreaking havoc upon Midgard the moment his suicide attempt had failed, it was just too bad that Midgard ended up being so distracting. Who knew that such a primitive society would have such a novel concept as therapy?
  • This fic is legendary and absolutely worth the read, it includes Loki seeking help of his own volition which I like a lot. No pairings, lots of friendship and brotherhood, probably my favorite
  • If you read any fic on this list let it be this one

BONUS FICs:

  • Shattered Glass: Thirteen months after the Chitauri attack, Loki returns to Midgard under a promise of peace, secretly looking to destroy everyone who saw him in chains.Instead of enemies, Loki finds liars and monster and people who appreciate him more without Thor’s shadow. Instead of destruction, Loki finds a home. If only he can keep it.
  • mostly gen, some FrostIron, good Loki character development. This one USED to be on ff.net but it’s been moved to AO3
  • Darkness, Flooded in Light: Loki falls. Injured and unable to access his magic, he must struggle to restore himself physically and mentally before the Bifrost is repaired and Asgard comes to find him. That would be difficult enough, but one of Asgard’s deepest secrets has followed him…
  • this is my other favorite Loki fic. A love note to libraries, small towns, and the things that make us all monsters. This fic features a mostly original cast while still being focused almost entirely on Loki as he wrestles with his past and the way that Odin and Asgard treated him

Frostiron Recs - Master List

Hi everyone! Finally, it is here. After 20 parts, this is the master list.

I had such a blast putting this list together and re-reading many of my favorite fics. As many fics as there are on here, this is just a sample of some of the awesome works out there! There are a ton of other great Loki/Tony fics.

Thank you to all of the amazing Frostiron writers out there! You have made this fandom so fun. You’re all incredibly talented and it is a joy to read your fics! They are some of the best I have read in any fandom.

As always, remember to read the tags! Some of these are smutty, dark, or not friendly to certain characters. If there is something you don’t like, don’t read it!
