It has been hard for me to talk about how what is going on with Israel and Palestine is affecting me personally, but I grew up in Gaza and most of my family still lives there. My father did not survive the bombings last week and I have not been able to contact my younger sister in days. I am try to being understanding that most people do not have personal connections to what is happening and therefore are justifying their silence, but is heartbreaking to see this misinformation being spread. What’s happening there is a genocide, not a war. It is not antisemitic to support Palestine, it’s not even antiemetic to criticise Israel. There is no grey area or neutrality regarding this, and it is so easy to find resources that will educate you on the subject. It is my people and my home being destroyed so I will never be silent about this, but I please urge everyone to get informed and start speaking up and finding ways they can help.

decolonizepalestine has tons of information on Palestine’s history/propaganda that has been spread throughout the years

Jewish Voice for Peace also has many resources for ways for US citizens to get involved, including protests

“But I didn’t and still don’t like making a cult of women’s knowledge, preening ourselves on knowing things men don’t know, women’s deep irrational wisdom, women’s instinctive knowledge of Nature, and so on. All that all too often merely reinforces the masculinist idea of women as primitive and inferior – women’s knowledge as elementary, primitive, always down below at the dark roots, while men get to cultivate and own the flowers and crops that come up into the light. But why should women keep talking baby talk while men get to grow up? Why should women feel blindly while men get to think?”

As much as I enjoy the enemies to lovers angle with a Selunite Tav/Shadowheart where they both hate each other deeply and have an intense rivalry, I also like the idea Tav is way less invested in the rivalry than Shadowheart is and just gets increasingly concerned whenever she tries to one up them.

"what's your reasoning as to why you think this male character is a lesbian??🤨" idk man like. do i need to have an actual reason

so for anyone who doesn't know, the last few days of the global strike (jan 26-28) are where people are supposed to amp up posting about palestine on their social media. if you can afford it, please use the remainder of the strike days to mostly engage w content spreading awareness about palestinian genocide. some people might find this a tall order, but it really isn't. it's just three more days, and the content you typically consume isn't going anywhere. and if you're keen on not giving a fuck about palestinian genocide, do everyone a favor and don't engage by leaving "how can i filter political things like this?" comments on posts about palestine. the people who're concerned w advocating for palestine have other things to worry about than disturbing your internet bubble. save yourself the trouble of typing that up. i assure you nobody cares.

Eurovision is allowing Israel to participate despite its ongoing genocide against Palestinians.

Boycott Eurovision.

Do not watch it. Do not support it.

Not watching isn't enough anymore.

Boycott Eurovision on a local level. Contact your local participating broadcaster and demand that they withdraw from the contest. Pressure representing artists into withdrawing too. Boycott Baileys and MoroccanOil for their support of the contest. Especially if you're from UK, France, Germany, Italy or Spain.

People have been not watching it cause of their blatant support of Israel for years, and that wasn't enough to convince them even in the midst of a genocide. We need to actually create a bad image for Eurovision and pressure their partners and contributors from not supporting the show.
