I thought that Final Fantasy 7 Remake's fully voiced Barret was a bit much at first, but it didn't take long to see the passionate shouty truth.

Barrett and Tifa going through losing their homes (and beloved business) in Sector 7 after Shinra already had some hand in destroying their hometowns (directly in Barret’s case, indirectly in Tifa’s) and then screwing around with with the remains of said hometowns by rebuilding Nibelheim and pretending their prized war hero didn’t burn the whole thing down, and then Corel is used as a prison underneath the equivalent of a Six Flags like honestly I’m kind of hoping they get more personal retribution in the Remakes

this is an old ff7 comic that i made a few years ago for a zine that didn't pan out. if you're wondering why the quality of the art dips after page 1, it's because i planned to completely redraw this comic, but decided i should be working on my vn instead. i hope you enjoy.

My full piece for @ff7ogzine! This sequence always really gets me. There’s too much going on to properly process the emotional gut-punch of what happened with Cloud, culminating in the brief exhilaration of this moment. In spite of everything, they’re not down for the count, not yet.
