How was she? No one had ever asked her that before. Not even her own Diamond. She was far too busy with her colonies and the destruction of Earth to worry about the well being of a simple Pearl.
A golden blush painted the Pearl’s cheeks. Clearly flattered that White the most powerful of the Diamond authority cared about her well being. “How am I?! Oh just wonderful! I’ve been making great process with my tasks! I’ve taken several messages for my Diamond this week. Told off several Quartzes for wasting my time. They honestly call whenever they can’t handle a simple task.
I also finished filing all her reports and made sure to make this very room spotless! I just hope she’ll notice my efforts when she gets home and I caught maybe perform for her. It’s my favorite activity to partake in!”
White Diamond listened to everything the pearl said. And she truly listened. The past thousand years had changed her, being without her loving sister made White more caring around gems she saw the most often. Yellow pearl included.
She chuckled at pearl’s comment about the quartzes, nodding her head in agreement. When pearl noted the spotlessness of the room white looked around and raised her eyebrows is was crystal clear, “My, if you weren’t yellow I would have gladly taken you into my court. And if my sister doesn’t notice all of the hard work you have done, just know that I have noticed it, and appreciate it.”
Yellow grinned with absolute delight and pride. Clasping her hands together and standing up proudly on her palm. Being appreciated was simply amazing! It's what she always strived for!
"Your radiance! Thank you so much! I'm honored that you appreciate the hard work I do hear!" Yellow Diamond never even seemed to give a simple thank you or good job Pearl. "It would be an honor to be in your court! I would be the perfect servant to you if I was given that chance! I assure you!"
Yellow Pearl was always so happy when White Diamond would visit. Not only was she one of the most radiant and brilliant Diamonds in the authority but she actually enjoyed her company! That was quite rare. Most gems found Yellow Pearl to be snooty and annoying. Even her own Diamond at times.
She carefully stepped onto the White Monarch’s palm. A grin painted across her face in delight. “It’s always an honor to speak to you your grand clarity! I always look forward to your visits. What would you wish to discuss?”
White brought her hand back up gently, as she wanted yellow’s pearl to be comfortable with speaking to her- there were very few who were.
At the pearl’s question, white diamond tilted her head in thought, what would she like to discuss? What could she discuss? After a few more moments white came up with a question, “I believe this is a common conversation starter that earth’s natives use, how are you?”

As always, whenever white was going to visit yellow, her sister’s loyal attendant was always there to greet her happily and respectfully. White looked down at her with the faintest of smiles on her face.
That is a pearl who is happily doing her job.
“Yes I am, is she busy right now?”
“Yes she’s in a meeting with Blue to discuss their plans for new colonies but I can call her and let her know you’re here.” Pearl brought up her screen and talked to her Diamond for a few minutes before politely saying goodbye and hanging up. “She said she’ll be back shortly. Can I get you anything while you wait? A throne to sit in? A little entertainment?”
White tilted her head, they were discussing new colonies without her? Strange, but it happened from time to time. Though what was especially strange was that yellow and blue didn’t immediately allow White into the meeting. They must be discussing blue’s emotions again..
White wished she could tell her younger sister that she was feeling the same way, she was sad too.
The Diamond finally drew her attention back to pearl and shook her head, “I don’t need to sit, but I do enjoy speaking with you,” White knelt down and held out her hand for pearl, “Though, I find it easier speaking to you when you aren’t all the way down there.”
