“Ready,” he nodded. Making quick work of the stairs and into the busy streets. They did in fact not have more than an hour or less before their train would leave from Grand Central Station - typical Newt to wait to the last second really.  He was quiet for the most part, but once they arrived to the station he couldn’t help but let his gaze travel over the large main hall. It was an impressive building for sure. 
Not to mention, painfully overfilled with people.
“Far too crowded,” he pointed out once they could make their way down to the platform where there were more room for them. He explained to her where they would be taking the train and that they would have a sleeping car as they would travel through the night.

Tina knew her way around crowds, and she also knew how to move undetected, though that mostly came in handy in the sense that, with her navigation, they weren’t knocking into anyone on the way. “Well, luckily we do have a compartment to ourselves,” She smiled as she settled next to him, looking around the platform and noticing that the train would be arriving at any minute.

At least they didn’t have any heavy luggage to carry around, which was definitely a bonus. “Queenie and Jacob made us some sandwiches and pastries for the trip,” She then smiled, glancing back at him. “So that should be nice, too.”

“That I know first hand,” he quipped, smile widening at Tina’s words. If anyone was confident in their decisions it was her. He pulled his coat on before joining her by the door. Finding himself wanting to greet her with a kiss on the cheek, but decided against it before he could allow himself to. He still had a bit to go before things like that would fall naturely, even with someone he had confessed his love to before (in his own manner of course).
Apparating was arguing the quickest way to get around, but considering he wasn’t exactly familiar with most parts of America it would’ve been risky anyway. Honestly though, even if Tina would have done the apparating, Newt did love to travel and with her company it was all the more tempting to make an actual trip of it.

Tina did know her way around America quite a bit, and she would have been fine apparating, but she also couldn’t say that she was complaining about spending more time with Newt, and if they needed to, they could still apparate on the way back. For now it was just the two of them, spending some time together, and it made her heart stumble in her chest just a little.

“Well, ready to go then, Mr. Scamander?” She then chuckled, giving him another smile as she leaned against the wall, waiting for him.
