a/n: holy shit, I'M BACK đŸ€© and the semester is finally over!! but i am doing summer classes starting Monday 💀 as reparations for my long absence, bep, here is a little joker blurb for you while i work on the other requests that have been rotting away in my inbox :)

Joker takes every visit from Batman to heart. A knowing smile graces his face and the beginnings of laughter begin to bubble within him when he sees the familiar silhouette materialize from the shadows of his cell.

"My, my, look what the bat dragged in. Did you miss me already, Batsy? Couldn't wait for our next date, could you?"

Not even the ghost of a smile crosses the Dark Knight's face, but Joker doesn't mind. It makes breaking him and his little moral code all the more satisfying in the end.

Tucked away in the deepest, darkest corner of Arkham Asylum, it's a luxury to know these special visits are away from prying eyes—more time with the Bat for him. Of course, it wouldn't be Batman if he wasn't there for some kind of information. But Joker loves knowing he has information that his beloved Bat wants. If his dear ol’ Batsy wants something, he needs to work a little harder for it, right?

It isn’t often that the Joker falls in love. In fact, it’s a rather rare occurrence. He’s been in this cat-and-mouse game with the Dark Knight for so long that he seemed to forget that he could fall for somebody else. But, when the Joker does fall in love with you, he finds himself thinking about you
 a lot. Even in the midst of planning his next crime, fruitily spreading havoc across Gotham, the thought of you always lingers somewhere in his mind. When the Joker falls in love with you, there’s a spark in his eyes when you share a laugh over his jokes. It was always hard to get Batman to crack at his jokes, so to know that you could even crack a smile was enough to thaw his heart. When the Joker falls in love with you, he has a habit of leaving you little notes and trinkets for you to find. Hidden in the most unexpected places, he’d leave them for you when he knew he’d be away for too long. Scrawled on each piece of paper was a new joke tailored to your sense of humor and a little trinket that reminded him of you. This was his way of expressing his feelings for you without needing to voice them out loud. When the Joker does fall in love with you, there is a chaotic, loving energy between you two. No matter what you do or where you are, chaos always ensues. Wreaking havoc in Gotham was his favorite kind of date night and to him, you were his partner in crime and his partner in life. While he may not always show it in the most conventional ways, when the Joker falls in love with you, you become the center of his life-- next to Batman of course.

Joker with a Batman!Reader who sends you anonymous messages after escaping Arkham for the millionth time. Joker prides himself in being the only person in Gotham who can truly get under your skin, who can get you this close to breaking that silly little “moral code” of yours. Also because he’s literally in love with you. But why blame him though? All he wants to do is get a good laugh out of his favorite Bat.

Joker with a Batman!Reader who leaves little surprises for you around the city. A jack-in-the-box here, a deck of cards there, all with the same message on them: Come and get me, Batsy!💚 It’s giving queer. Who would he be without his little flamboyant schemes? Gotta keep the love of his life on their toes, ya know?

Joker with a Batman!Reader who calls this little cat-and-mouse game of his a “date.” Of course it’s a date! Why wouldn’t it be? After being treacherously locked away in the confines of a small padded cell, unable to do the most heinous things just to get caught by you, he’s finally able to reunite with his beloved Batsy! He can’t let those other heinous lunatics get to you first, that’s his job!

Joker with a Batman!Reader who, when you finally find him in the dingiest, darkest, warehouse in Gotham, has the biggest grin on his face and a glint in his eye. “Aw, I knew you cared about me!”

Joker with a Batman!Reader who, at the final showdown of this little charade, holds you at gunpoint with a wide smile on his face. “You know Bats, I missed this. Me, waltzing around Gotham with a smile on my face. And you, with that bright, big scowl on yours! You just can't get enough of me!” Pulling the trigger, a small bouquet of flowers shot out of the gun's barrel. “So when’s our wedding?”

  • There is something about the Joker that gives "DARRRRRLLINNGGGGG GUESS WHO JUST ESCAPED THE PSYCCHHHH WARDDD"
  • He would say this to Batman after escaping Arkham for the millionth time
  • Kicks feet and giggles 
  • Someone please sedate me
  • I know damn well they had to put a muzzle on this man in Arkham because he bit someone for talking bad about Batman 
  • It was Killer Croc 💀
  • I think this man loves sprinkles for some reason -- specifically rainbow sprinkles 
  • Like he needs it on his ice cream or else he won't eat it
  • Like he would rob a store at gunpoint for rainbow sprinkles
  •  And then go, “Oh nooo, I hope a big, bad, Bat doesn’t come and stop me” type shit 😭
  • Speaking of ice cream, I wholeheartedly believe Joker is lactose intolerant

This was such an interesting concept to write about and its been a while since I've written anything on here so I hope it's not terrible! Apologies if my depictions of sleepwalking and sleep talking aren't that accurate 💕
  • Poor baby was so worried you’d accidentally hurt yourself 
  • The first time he saw it happen, he woke up in the middle of the night absolutely parched for a glass of water 
  • And there you were standing in the corner of the room
  • When I tell you his heart almost leaped out of his throat-
  • “Uhh, baby?” 
  • He’s remembered the times you’ve mentioned your sleepwalking before, but he’s never actually witnessed it until now
  • At this point, he’s scared of what to do 
  • He’s heard of the “never wake a sleepwalker” rule and he wasn’t about to break that 
  • So instead, he’d tentatively sit closer to the foot of the bed and monitor you for a bit
  • He’ll watch to make sure you don’t fall or hurt yourself and then he’ll gently lead you back to bed 
  • After laying you back down, he’ll stay up for a while and make sure you don’t get back up
  • In the morning he’ll tell you about it and take note of anything that might have triggered it 
  • “Sweet girl, you scared me half to death last night”
