Laurel Lance’s mother, Dinah Lance, has been a vigilante for more than 20 years. Laurel sees the good her mother does; and, despite her wishes, sets out training to save the world. When a particle accelerator explosion leaves Laurel with a high-frequency cry, she seeks advice from her good friend Cisco who has a profound knowledge of metahumans. Cisco convinces Laurel that fighting for your city is what a hero would do, and with powers such as a super-sonic scream, how could Laurel turn down the opportunity to help those in need.
