“Huh.” He scoffed, kicking a couple of the men aside carelessly. “Knew you guys were dumb, but seriously? You couldn’t even get your way back out?”

He was relieved to see the light of day when they got out, covering his eyes and blinking as they were surrounded by hot desert, heat bearing down. His stomach rumbled, as though suddenly aware he now had freer access to find food.

“Lets go find the nearest city... food first, then we figure out the way home.” An obvious plan, but stating it made it seem real. He’d never felt so happy. A real shot at life...

Yugi stayed close to the other’s side He blinked and knelt down waiting for Atem’s signal.  He hesitated but pulled the latch on three and quickly stood back up watching.

As predicted they scrambled about, allowing Atem to sneak in and rearrange papers while they were preoccupied. He made sure he didn’t take long before running out.

“Cmon! Before they notice!”

He bounced a little with an excitement bubbling.  “Alright great,”  He smiled with a star eyed expression.

Atem sneaked down into the dungeons and grabbed two of the cages they left out for the mice. Stifling laughter, he led Yugi up to the studies and handed him a cage. “Pull the latch and they’ll run!”

He counted down from three and pulled his latch, let the fun begin.

He was a little surprised by this sudden shift but he quickly caught on.  “The harem would probably scream more so it depends on what you wish the reaction to be.”

“Mmm… I usually leave those poor girls alone… so the only reason to mess with them would be their reaction…” He hummed thoughtfully. “I think the priests are a better shot.” At least now he had a permanent friend to play his jokes with.

He smiled nodding.  “Alright, so how are we going to do it?”

“Cause a distraction with a couple mice from the traps down in the dungeon. Sneak in and mess with their papers.” He grinned.
