My mother wouldn't let me see this movie when it came out (and perhaps she had a point; it's a very dark for a 6-year-old), but it's now one of my favorites.

Frollo, Phoebus, Esmeralda, Quasimodo -- each of them erotic in their own way. And the depiction of religious persecution and disability, whatever it's limitations, is beautiful.
