  ↳ First and foremost, I’d like for people to consider this; the Riverboat McCree skin is actually Jesse’s brother. And his brother’s name is Joel. They are two separate people very alike in looks and very similar in personalities, although Joel is older than Jesse by at the very least one year.

  ↳ Joel is the brother who is considered the ‘smarter’ troublemaker of the two because he tends to think before he acts to minimise the chances of being caught and the potential damage to a situation; Jesse tends to act before he thinks, then deals with the consequences which often results in a lot more trouble for him.

  ↳ Joel often looks out for Jesse. He’s bailed him out of trouble on more than one occasion, often sent gifts to him on his birthdays, and tried to encourage him on a less dangerous path in life while they grew up. (Evidently, that didn’t work. But he tried.)

  ↳ No matter how much he might deny it, Jesse often looked up to his brother and the cause of some of his habits and mannerisms - such as his smoking - were due to him copying him.

  ↳ Jesse is more fluent in Spanish than Joel.

  ↳ They bicker frequently and it often results in on-the-spot wrestling matches. Joel always wins because he’s a dirty cheater.

  ↳ This is my explanation as to why Jesse has the line “Don’t call me Joel”.

  ↳  McCree can play the guitar. And loves doing it frequently as a way of destressing - other than chain smoking half his lifespan away.

  ↳ He favours a full sized Yamaha acoustic guitar with light-medium gauge steel strings due to their ease with fingerpicking and strumming. Unfortunately catgut strings had a reliability problem, they became weak and brittle over time, but if available; the cowboy would jump on them in a heartbeat.

  ↳ He often plays the guitar in his own quarters. Occasionally he’d migrate to a more ‘public’ setting and play requested tunes for other members of Overwatch who happen to be near by - such as Lúcio, Reinhardt, or Tracer to name a few.

  ↳ Occasionally he may be accompanied by @aithreachas who he discovered can play the piano. Which in turn prompts him to suggest that someone sing with them - usually Mercy, although anyone’s free to join in.

  ↳ He’s a fan of Lúcio’s music. Not quite his style, but he gets it. He gets it.

  ↳ Next to country/western, he’s a fan of old rock and classicals. Lowkey also a fan of k-pop and j-pop thanks to D.Va and Hanzo respectively.

  ↳ @hannzo gets serenaded frequently.

  ↳ Double duets and guitars with @wraithforms also occur.
