Luke and Vader Holiday Fic Exchange Announcement!
Hello there!!!
The time has come for the Father Son Bonding Time server's second ever fic exchange!!!
This is an anonymous fic exchange where each participant will write and exchange a Luke and Vader-centered fanfiction with a minimum of 1,500 words. It is strongly recommended that the story be a one shot, but as long as it is completed, a multi-chapter story can be written.
Schedule: Opens: November 3rd, 2023 Closes: November 12th, 2023 Matches go out: November 17th, 2023 Half Point Check in: December 10th, 2023 Deadline to request a beta reader (in discord): December 20th ish, 2023 (if it is after this date but it’s a one chapter story, I am sure you’ll still find people willing to help) Submissions and Author Reveals: January 5th, 2023 (edited)
How it works: We welcome anyone who loves Luke and Vader fanfic. You do not have to have written fanfiction before, and it can be whatever canon you prefer. You can be any age to join, but if you wish to receive mature content (which in Luke and Vader fanfic usually means violence or really dark themes) you will need to indicate that you are 18+ or understand that you are okay with receiving mature-themed content.
Fill out the Google Form and give as much detail as you’d like. The more detail we have, the better we can match you with someone who jives with your fanfic tastes. After the closing date on November 12th, we will match everyone up and send you your match by email. Remember, this is anonymous until the submission date, so contain your excitement!
Once you have your matches, if you have questions about the exchange itself, feel free to contact @ladyvader23 or @sinvulkt directly either on tumblr or on discord. If you have a question about your gift’s preferences, you can send them an anonymous ask on tumblr (so turn on your anon asks during this time period just in case your gifter needs to pick your brain!)
About two weeks before the deadline we will create the collection in AO3. Sign up, and submit before the deadline. On the 5th January, the collection will leave mystery mode and reveal the anonymous fics inside (they will still be anonymous until the 10th January).
If for any reason you need to drop out, please contact us ASAP so that we can accommodate your giftee and make sure they get a fic.
/!\ If you participated for the last exchange yet didn't complete your gift nor notified us ahead of the deadline, and said gift is still uncomplete to this day, then you will not be allowed to join until your last exchange work has been completed and gifted.
As the event progresses, I’ll give updates and answer any questions, but at the end of the day, the goal is to have fun and make new friends!
