“How have you been?” The professor asked his best has he gave them a smile. Mason had been out of town for awhile and been crazy busy with work and family. Mason had gotten a lot of errands done early than he expected and so, he decided to pay one of his best friends a visit. “How have you been?” he asked, with a smile on his face excited to see the other and catch up with them. @heikkibun
Heikki was excited to see Mason again and smiled at one of his best friend. “I have been good. Busy, but good. How have you been, Mason?” He asked, interested to know how Mason had been doing.

“One of the hard parts of being a parent,” he replied chuckling has he ran his hand through his own hair. That was one of the hardest thing about being a parent when your child is in pain and hurting especially when they were sick. “That will be amazing.”
“Yeah.” Heikki nodded before wiping his mouth. He had been sweating a little bit from having the oven on in the house. “I have a couple loaves of oat bread in the oven. We could have that with our dinner, and Hase taught Lumi how to make Munkki when she was here to pick up the kids earlier. Feel free to help yourself. Munkki is a dessert from our homeland. It would most closely resemble a donut here.”
“Me too. It always hard and painful when the kids are sick but am so glad,” he replied with a smile on his face. “Am fine with either honestly. Am fine hanging out here,” he added with a warm smile on his face.
“You’re right. When the twins cried, I cried with them.” He nodded. “Well, I’ve got plenty of snacks here, and I can make us all a nice big dinner to celebrate hanging out after a while.”
“That sucks and that must have been terrible and I understand. Ollie had been sick the whole of last week but thankfully he is finally better now,” he replied running his hands through his hair. “It really has been ages but am glad to hang out with you.”
“Aww, poor Ollie. I’m glad all the kids are better now.” Heikki smiled as he moved around with excitement. “I’m really glad to hang out with you as well. What would you like to do? We could stay here, or I could call Hase over to watch the kids and we can go out. It’s up to you.”
“How have you been?” Mason asked with a warm smile on his face has he looked at the other. It really had been ages since he had seen his good friend. “What’s new?” @heikkibun
“I’ve been okay. Though, we had a case of the ear infection among the twins, and that was a bit rough, but we got through it.” Heikki smiled at his friend. “How have you been? It’s been a while.”
“I’d appreciate that. Does your sister live in the neighborhood?”
“My sister does live in the neighborhood. The only thing is that I hope you don’t mind kids or cats. She has a cat, and sometimes she watches my kids at her place when my husband and I are working or out of town.”
“So… know anyone that’s looking for a roommate?”
“I could see if my sister is looking for a roommate. She’s the only one I can think of right now.”
Shepherd was taking his morning coffee on the River Walk and enjoying what he could of it before he was stuck on a tour bus for three months. Dax had big a draw at Pride in the Park the past weekend and though he had gigs in and around Chicago for the month of June, they were readying to take off to criss cross the country and even do a few stops in Canada. Shepherd knew Dax was ready, but he wasn’t entirely sure that some of Dax’s family and friends were ready for the long engagement. Spotting someone wearing one of the wristbands that had been handed out at the past weekend’s festivities made Shepherd double back and fall into step with the person. “Did you enjoy your weekend?” he asked as he eyed them.
To say the weekend was eventful was an understatement. Heikki enjoyed fun with his family at Pride in the Park, and then attended one of the most beautiful weddings that he’d ever been to. Now, the kids were with his sister as he ran some important errands that he couldn’t take the three of them to. He was sure he probably looked like a dork with his bike helmet on as he walked his bike down the sidewalk to grab some coffee on the way to his next errand, nearly jumping when he heard someone talking to him. “Hi!” Heikki greeted with a smile, not sure if this man wanted an autograph or if he was simply making small talk. “I had a wonderful weekend, actually. Pride in the Park, then my husband’s best friend getting married. It was most eventful, but very fun. How about you? Did you enjoy your weekend as well?”
Are you and James still married?
"Yes, of course we are still married. And we are still very happy." @nonstopwriterjames
“Such good guesses-” Brett said playfully. “But not quite there. While meringue and whipped creme can be stiff, you really can’t get a good noodle shape out of them. You’re getting colder-” he smirked, glad that others were really intrigued by what he was trying out and that people were willing to have fun with food in a way that felt whimsical and not so ordinary and dour.
“Well...” Heikki mused to himself as he tried to figure out what the spaghetti could be made out of. “Frosting or fondant? Those are the only other things I can think of.” He hummed. This mystery was stumping him but it was so fun.
Brett chuckled. “I get so many ice cream guesses but no. I can put it on ice cream pie, so it could be ice cream adjacent. It is chocolate though, for starters. At least the meatballs are.”
“Hmm.. My second guess would have been whipped cream, and my third guess would be some sort of dough.” Heikki mused, honestly amused by the plate of not quite spaghetti and meatballs.
