My friend needs participants for their study on the impact of a presentation on deepfake pornography!
If you are currently living in the UK, over 18 and have access to a computer (because it does not work on phone), please consider giving a bit of your time to answer this survey.
(note: it does work if you are a foreigner currently living in the UK, but it does not work if you are British and currently living abroad)
The first part is 20 minutes long, and the follow-up is 10 minutes long a week later.

Some internet language things I really like:
- Phrases like “that’s certainly a thing”, “it’s so shaped”, or “one of the most animals” (is there a name for this?)
- when people write with little to no punctuation like they are just so done
- More specifically, asking questions without punctuation i.e. ‘what’ or ‘why’. It’s like, you want to know but also you are resigned to the answer?
- When people capitalise The Thing for emphasis - particularly if they add a trademark symbol to really drive The Point™ home
- How we use both bold and italic text for emphasis, but they convey it in different ways and I can’t quite explain how
- Responding to things exclusively with punctuation, because sometimes words fail you and all you can say is !!!

this is so so important to me and mine, and I'm asking you to Do Something so I'll respect your time and keep it brief
in the UK, if 100k sign a a government petition it will be brought to Parliament and debated. y'all know this country is suffering from some 80s-style bigotry right now, and this is one symptom: almost 200k fuckholes have come together to force the government to discuss whether it is 'appropriate' to tell children that queer people exist. this is a big symbolic victory for them. and i am burning with fury.
please, if you're from the UK, sign this counter-petition so they can at least see how much of a minority they are. simply put, the attempt to put these bastards in their place isn't gathering enough steam. there are barely 2000 more signatures now than there were this morning, and that isn't enough. i refuse to let these people feel even a moment of victory or satisfaction. please help.
