Listening to her as she spoke, his brow furrowed as he ‘looked’ down at her, his hand running along her back still, ever so gently. “I don’t know what I would do if I ever lost you.” His voice had dropped to a whisper. He had already lost someone close to him and he wasn’t sure he could ever do that again.
With the kiss to his lips though, the large dragoon couldn’t help the way that he relaxed into her touch, his head leaning into her hands. Leaning forward, he captured her lips once more, raising his hand then to place over hers. “I love you so much, Jill.” Words slipping lightly from his lips, he kissed her once more. “I’m sorry.. if they do return, I will try to be more careful, alright? But.. I don’t want you in danger, I really don’t.” Stroking over the back of her hand, he let out a light sigh.
His kiss sent a pleasant chill down her spine and made her heart flutter. How did he manage to make her heart melt in such a situation she never knew. “I know...” But a secret can’t be kept for long. Eventually they will see Tsuneo with her. Talking together, laughing, smiling, and kissing with so much love behind it. And they would confront her and threaten her, possibly worse. But she was not entirely helpless.
She buries her face into the crook of his neck, hands slipping from his face to around his neck and embrace him as they lied together. “Do you want me to get you cleaned up? I know you don’t want the boys to worry.” It was time to change the subject, she thought. Thinking and dwelling on the negative was never healthy.

“Well, im looking for a tutorial book on making masks and such as well as wig making.” Despite his image, Kaien loved to make all of his accessories as well as wigs, putting the work in as much as everyone else did so he can pull his own weight and not seem like an entitled snob. “If you can show me where, I’d appreciate it.”
“Hmm those are some interesting books your after. Into cosplay?” It was a guess and it was a pretty good one too. She couldn’t think of too many reasons why he needs a book for mask making and wigs. And though he did ask her where he could find them she ended up walking over to an isle herself. “I don’t know if we have books on specifically making masks....”
She then pulls out an arts and crafts book, filled to the brim ways to make crafts. Opening the book she skims through and notes that their is a mask making section and closes it before offering it to the young man. “Here you go, unfortunately we don’t have anything on wigs. I imagine that would be a lot harder to make than a mask though.”

“Yes, im sorry to bother you but I just need to find something. If you can tell me I’ll get out of your hair.” Kaien replied as he could tell the girl was tired and not wanting to be the pain in the but customer, didn’t really want to bother her much.
“It’s alright, it’s not like I’m going to die or anything.” Jill waves him off not wanting him to feel pressured or anything. “So is there a specific book you’re looking for? I can’t see we have every book under the sun but we do have a big variety.”
“Can I help you with something sir?” Hopefully the young man would say no. She was feeling rather lazy at the moment and would much rather take a nice long nap, but alas she would lose her job if she did that.

Fingers continuing to slowly run down her back in soothing motions, every now and then running up through her hair, his head leaned back slightly. He wasn’t used to fighting anymore. Though he made sure to keep himself in shape, since he lost his sight, everything had been different. Going against multiple dragoons who knew him and his weaknesses was even more difficult and now even though he had gotten away without massive injury, he was still hurting.
Blind eyes closing as he tried to relax there with her, he gave a gentle smile to her. “I apologize, I didn’t mean to word it that way.” The man spoke lightly, fingers trailing along the back of her neck slowly. He fell silent for a moment before finally speaking once more. “Do not worry.. if they come back, they won’t harm you at all.” Leaning forward, Tsuneo kissed atop her head. He wouldn’t let them anywhere near her, no matter what he had to do.
“I’m not worried about my safety.... I’m worried about yours... I can’t bear the thought of losing you.” Damn the world if it ever tried to take away this man and his sons from her. They were one of the few good and beautiful things in her life and she will defend them no matter what. She understood why Tsuneo wanted to keep her safe, but who was going to keep him safe?
“I love you so much.... Even if danger is ahead and it would surely be a stupid idea I would stay by your side no matter what.” She looks up to place a gentle kiss on his lips as her hands rest against the side of his face.

Sitting back on the couch, he held in a wince. Holding Jill in his arms, he leaned his head down once more to kiss gently at her forehead before resting back. His hair was a complete mess as it draped over his shoulders and fell in his scarred face. As Tsuneo heard the worry in her tone, brows furrowed and one of his hands moved to gently run his fingers through her hair.
“I just.. ran into some of the people from my old clan..” Or more likely they had tracked him down. “We just had some disagreements.” The man spoke lightly, trying to keep everything calm. His arm holding her moved, setting her in his lap before moving to rub lightly at her back. “I love you so much Jill, alright? Never forget that.”
She had heard about his life before, not all of it just bits and pieces. So hearing that he encountered people from his old clan she knew it didn’t just end up in disagreements. The damage he wore was proof of that.
When she was moved she placed her head against his shoulder, not at all minding the hair as she snuggled into his warmth. “I love you too.... But when you say it like that it scares me...” She clings to him, her eyes refusing to close in fear of her imagination taking the best of her. “They’re not coming back to cause more trouble are they?”

Holding onto the smaller woman, Tsuneo shifted himself slightly. Lowering himself just enough, he pulled his arms away from around her before scooping her up into his arms. The mans face was heavily bruised on one side and had a few claw like slices along his cheek and close to his eyes, along with some other injuries along his upper arms and chest. But he acted as if nothing was wrong while he carried the woman over to the couch.
“Nothing is wrong.” He spoke quietly with a small smile pulling at his lips, holding her close to his chest as he sat down.
Her soft face was scrunched up into a frown as she catches a glimpse of his face. “That doesn’t look fine at all... “ She huffs, wrapping her arms around his neck. “Why won’t you tell me what’s wrong....?” Worry was evident in her voice. “Please... I’m a big girl I can handle it.” Seeing her lover in pain felt far worse than what ever mental torture she placed upon herself in her dreams. However this was far worse because they were both awake and this was out of her control.
Coming up behind her, large arms wrapped around the plump woman. Trying to keep her from looking back at him, the bruised and cut up male held her close to his chest. "Hey there, love." Tsuneo muttered softly before kissing the top of her head gently.
At first she was pleased with the sudden embrace but when she found his grip was just tight enough to make her unable to turn around and return the embrace she grew concerned.
“Tsun…… What happened?” She asks, her voice soft and filled with concern as her plump hands rest on top of his.

No toast for Guzma, apparently.
That was a mild let down, but he would not meditate on it for too long; as long as he had a combatant for nausea, he would take it.
[ ☠ ] — “’Least ya tried,” he grumbles, taking the sprig of peppermint and popping it into his mouth.
“My ma’scrazy ‘bout natural remedies,” the gangster mentions, exhaling sharply as his eyes closed, taking into consideration how comfortable the pillow was. Chew, chew, chew, chew.
“Almost never took real medicine back home ‘cause she swore by her roots and shit,” Guzma snorts, laying there quietly in recollection.
“Really? My family was just too cheap to get the real stuff. It was either tough it up or eat this crazy home remedy.” A soft chuckle left her lips as she remembered those times back when she was a little girl.
Leaving his side at the edge of the bed she moves over to the love seat in the corner of the room and sits down, wrapping the blanket, that was resting on the arm rest, around her body.
“Let me know if the mint is doing anything for you and I’ll get to making some breakfast.”

Empty your stomach, THEN talk to the girl—easy does it, Guzma, easy does it.
Internal pep talks can be forgotten for a moment as his hands reaches up to wipe at the spittle on his mouth, shivering a bit once he finished vomiting; of all of the terrible things in this world, puking was one of THE most terrible to the gangster, despite having done it plenty of times.
[ ☠ ] — “Ugh…” There’s a grumble as he lays down on his side, curling up a bit once he nudges the bucket away with his hand.
“—Somethin’ t’soak up this shitty stomach, toast, anythin’, I dunno,” he pleads with a grumble, pouting as if he were a scolded child.
She stands there the entire time stuck in comfort limbo where she wants to help but isn’t willing to touch a stranger.
When he laid back down on the bed she took the bucket, not before making a face when she accidentally looked into the bucket before taking it into the bathroom to clean up in a moment.
“Alright I’ll get you something... Remember there’s some water and pain meds for the headache if you want to take them now.” And without another moment to spare she left the bedroom to go and make him toast and other foods that could help.
After coming back it was very evident she didn’t make him toast from the lack of any in her hands. “I realized I didn’t have any toast but I have some mint. Just chew on it for a while. It should clear up the nausea.”
