hey there all — this is a fast and loose promo for a children of atom oc of bethesda’s fo4 !! meet geiger, resident french-canadian who’s here to drink nuka cola quantum and proselytize the good word of atom and he’s all out of nuka cola quantum. smash that like button the same way geiger accidentally smashed into the commonwealth with a biplane or reblog to spread this promo like geiger spreads the word of atom !!

OKAY I’M REALLY really proud of this lmao i thought that the toxic waste barrels looked kinda??? bland????? bc they didn’t add any extra ambiance so first i tried strategically placing the green wall light to create the glow and it looked good but the wall light itself always stuck out and if i hid it then the light was obscured and it defeated the whole purpose. so i found a solution!!!!! console command the wall light into the barrels themselves so the glow looks like it’s coming from inside of them!!!!!! it’s going to be tricky and also take 8 years because i have a dozen or so barrels in the water outside and one light only illuminates one direction so i’ll have to put in 2 or 3 per barrel depending on its placement but i think this is going to improve the overall nuclear vibe of the settlement so much i’m really happy with it

you will live. panic clutches at geiger’s heart, nearly as tight a grip as the one he now holds at his side to stem the blood flow. this was not the closest he had come to death but repetition never assuaged the FEAR : was this the end? atom’s grand plan, come to task with something so small and insignificant as a bullet.
fear felt unpleasantly like heresy — after all, what awaited geiger but the the embrace of atom? you will live. guilt, fear, pain all swallowed down with the taste of BLOOD. finally he lifts his eyes to nick, allows a shaky inhale that hurts and the sharp sting clears his mind. this will not be his end. merely a test, a measure of his will against atom’s.
if atom willed his death, it would be so. you will live. you will live. you will live.
“ I WILL LIVE. ” hissed through grit teeth, forceful in its CONVICTION. he bares bloody teeth, grins red for just a moment before the bullet in his gut turns the expression to a grimace. he takes another breath, gestures vaguely towards his pack. “ there’s a stimpack in there, if you could — it’ll hold me over, for now. i won’t die here. ”
here’s geiger’s little shrine shack!! i definitely took a long hard look at the decorations in the nucleus and lifted ideas from there (plus mods to add the skull/candle decorations), i wish i could get a more yellow color vibe going but it was also close to sunrise when i took these caps so that threw off the aesthetic a little bit. this is the murkwater construction site, i scrapped the building frame and stuck this in the water and surrounded it with toxic waste barrels (unfortunately they’re all standing up since i was too lazy to console command some of them to be knocked over, i added regular barrels to give it a more cluttered and derelict vibe). this little shack is only for worship, i left the ruined house on the site and added a little tent and fire and called it a day in terms of living accommodations for geiger. i might add some more stuff to the shrine shack but it’s hard to make it look cluttered without reusing the same decorations in a way that looks too repeated so for now i’m just leaving this!!!
#also i wanted the coa flags to be in the top corner of the wall but todd decided that was too edgy for his game's parameters#it just couldn't be done so i gave up#geiger kneels on the little rug to pray anyway so it's fine if the decorations are more low hanging idk#i don't love the bottles in the water but#once i put them there i couldn't select them to get rid of them#so they became part of the aesthetic i guess???#ooc.#long post //
