I think this is what bums me out the most about USWNT and canWNT not playing for gold. And I’m super happy for any Sweden, Germany and Brazil fans - but the NWSL was likely really relying on a gold medal bump from one of them especially. I really worry about the NWSL. Especially with no major tournament for a while. Then you factor in US Soccer barely caring about the league as is, the possibility of players going to Europe, email scandal, wage suit, etc and I’m a little nervous. Make sure to get out and support your local NWSL team if you can!
