I've been off tumblr for a bit because, when I'm not at work, I'm helping to barn raise a couple of discord group verses and get them off the ground.

I'm stumbling in, because I'm casting group verses! And there's room in a BtVS/TO/TVD/TW/SPN crossover verse (The Originals-based and set in New Orleans in early seasons) for canons from all four shows, as well as select OCs (select, in that we're looking for ocs that fit the show, like werewolves, witches, vampires, slayers, etc.). There is a discord hub for rp, and there's some rp stuff on tumblr in the same verse, already. Friendly group! If you're interested, please drop me a message! Don't *like* this for interest sake, because I won't see it.

I will be back on tumblr, soon! I've just got my work cut out for me. <3

{ Canon Questionnaire } — @little-miss-buffy

1.What made you pick up this character?

Katherine was my 3rd character (2nd canon) that I picked up. It's been a very long time, but I was a week-to-week regular watcher of TVD since it first aired since I followed Nina Dobrev over from when she left Degrassi. With Katherine, I was (and am) really fascinated by her psychology, and at the time she was a type of female character I had never seen before on TV.

Intelligent, complex, and self-motivated female characters who subvert expectations really sink their hooks into me.

16. What is your personal ship bias for your canon character?

'Personal ship bias' isn't a term I've heard before but I'm assuming that's just asking my OTPs?

Katherine is extremely shippable and I like her with lots of pairings, including all her canon ones. They're all different dynamics that are fun to RP.

Katherine x Elijah is my top ship for her though.

21. Which song do you feel describes your character the most and why?

It's definitely a Marina and the Diamonds song. Gonna say Power & Control.

Yelena nears the scene just in time to see the woman biting the man she'd captured, and her steps slow in her approach as she watches him slump to the floor. Brows pinching together, she eyes the veins that had appeared underneath her eyes before they disappear. What the hell is she?

As she stops in front of her, the woman drops in a casual question as though it's Yelena that's the most unusual one here. Which, granted, most normal people don't kill four people in a café-- but. Still. She didn't have fangs. So.

She doesn't much like the way that Katherine looks her up and down after what she's just seen, but she doesn't comment. She just lifts her brows a little and tilts her head. ❝ Yelena. ❞ She answers, her gaze briefly lowering to the body on the ground before she looks back up at Katherine's face

❝ So do I want to know what you are? ❞ She asks, wiping some blood from her hands absently on her pants. ❝ Though, I do appreciate the help. ❞

The initial stunned reaction gives Katherine time to swipe her teeth clean of blood behind her lips, but at least when the woman opens hers, it isn't to scream and run away. Katherine would have to give chase, kill her or wipe her head, blah blah blah, and while that might kind of fun, it'd be a downturn from the sweet little spontaneous hunt they just had. And it certainly seems like they both went hunting - only this Yelena was lying in wait for her prey.

She doesn't immediately answer the question. Heard it a million times before, though it's not often she's half-inclined to answer. There are options here. Katherine's considering them as her eyes run over Yelena once more. She edges a single languid step closer over the discarded dead body. "Are you thanking me right now?" she asks, a rhetorical question on a small, snarky laugh. Funny. Her voice pricks with entertainment. "Maybe I should be thanking you for all the trouble."

Image

That hangs for a beat until she meets Yelena's eyes again, straight on and probably a little too close for comfort. "Well, Yelena, I'm Katherine." She gives a subtle shrug. "Wanna go back inside?" It doesn't sound like a trick question.

I don’t even go here anymore.. hi and welcome back 💝 Glad to see u. I get he’s mad but it’s almost laughable and bull if Elijah stays mad at her. Klaus has daggered him for how many times?! With no reason at all at times other than he wanted to ?? I don’t know why she did it but doubt it was for funzies and fact she’s helping Klaus because Elijah cares about him?! 👀 Frickin Klaus. Come on!!

Lol hello again! Glad to be back.

Elijah definitely has the right to be mad and it's gonna be fun to play out how Kat tries to earn his trust back. Their trust is so delicate as it is. She didn't do it for funzies, but it was still a calculated betrayal. And she's helping Klaus bc that's her sired bloodline, not because Elijah cares about him. If Klaus dies at this point in time in this verse, so does she.

Very little surprises Katherine these days. And most of this doesn't — not his cold withdrawal after the initial explosion, not his refusal to look at her, not even the denial they would be going anywhere together. It concerns her, absolutely. But it's not without precedent.

Elijah calling her Katherine makes her blink, though. Draws a small frown on her lips. It's been a long time since he's done that.

Their recent reconciliation feels like a dream compared to the cool, still air in the space between them now.

Her face falls and clears as he turns for the exit with that dismissal. Whatever affront she feels, she doesn't want to leave things like this, and it takes over for a moment as she follows in his stride, touches the sleeve of his jacket to stop him. "Elijah..." but at the tension beneath her touch, she takes it back almost immediately. Takes one beat to recollect herself. "They're taking it to him. And bringing a small army, Elijah." A warning, perhaps? A suggestion he may need her there, in fact?

When he feels fingers against his sleeve, Elijah's gaze darts down towards her touch and he frowns. She doesn't keep it there for long, however. Very wisely. He looks back up to her face then, considering her, but there's no warmth in his gaze. To anyone that didn't know them, it would look as though he were eyeing a stranger.

A muscle in his jaw jumps when she speaks, and he glances toward the door again for a moment with a soft sigh before he turns again and begins heading back toward the door.

❝ Fine. But after this, you leave this city. I don't want to see you again. ❞ He sweeps through the door then, gaze only briefly darting around to get a read on where they are. Not that it particularly helps, as he doesn't yet know where they're going until Katherine tells him. Unfortunately. And, more likely than not, intentionally. She does so distrust others with her safety, after all.

There's a touch of dark glower in her eyes as he considers her so distantly, an insistence mixed up with a bristle of anger in her features. Where's that coming from? He disappears outside and she exhales. Fine. If she has to drag him kicking and screaming across this finish line, she will. And then on the other side of that... but first, it's game time.

The white oak dagger had fallen to the stone floor, forgotten during his violent awakening. Katherine snags it and carefully slips it amongst her person. It sure isn't the kind of thing she wants accidentally poking her.

She emerges into the humid New Orleans evening and flicks her hair back, bringing herself to full form. Not about to say sorry. She tosses a second blood bag at him. "Drink up. You'll need it." A loft of her brows and the tone seems be calling him pale and sickly, and to get with the program. She's playing with fire, can feel the heat, but in the moment it feels good. Then she turns heel and gives him space, heading out of the cemetery to the main streets.

Wondering in the back of her mind if she shouldn't have just taken the out. But no, she's invested in Klaus' fate. And Elijah's too, of course. Someone has to have their mind on his self-preservation.

It's instant relief once he lets go, and Katherine rubs her throat for a few minutes while bracing against the wall behind her. A halfway mustered glare peers across the room from beneath her curls, but her gaze is fleeting on him and then away. He's mad. She knows he's right to be and going to be. But Katherine knew that when she made the decision to stab him in the back, and decided they could live through it. She believes that and holds it in her gut.

She straightens, finding relief too in the brusque attention to business. Better. Perfect, really. Squares her chin and gives him what he wants. "Tristan and the others are planning to use the new moon tonight as their chance to take Klaus down, when his wolf side is weak." Perhaps boldly, she takes a couple steps towards Elijah. Even if he won't look at her, she's looking at him, almost beseeching him to listen. "Something about the time being right." It's fresh secondhand information, they weren't too free with the details during their temporary alliance. Katherine isn't sure they're right, but they sure seemed confident. "They're trying to kill him somehow, Elijah, to fulfill the prophecy without risking you." Her tone doesn't give away the thought, but it's an obvious fact that if Klaus goes, so does she, and Katherine isn't about to let that happen. Equally implied is just how perfectly informed she was when she appeared in his home. "We have to go, Elijah."

He hasn't felt this angry at her before. He's been angry with her, of course he has-- but nothing like this. Nothing that genuinely makes him want to hurt her. He brings his hand up to rub his knuckles into his brow, frowning down at the ground as his eyes close. He hears her step closer, but he doesn't turn to face her, simply letting his hand fall away as he looks down at the dust covering his suit.

He is listening, though. Even if he doesn't currently want to even think about her existence, he is listening. Because if his brother truly is in danger, then he needs all of the information that he can get. Eventually, perhaps inevitably, she insists that they need to go. Together. He laughs, but there's no humour to it at all as he finally turns to face her. ❝ We don't need to go anywhere, Katherine. ❞ The name felt wrong on his tongue, but somehow, in that moment, Katerina didn't seem right. His Katerina wouldn't have done that to him. ❝ I'll go and see to Niklaus, don't worry. You won't be dying tonight. ❞ And he steps by her then, making his way toward the door. ❝ Tell me where they're taking him. ❞ If she can't, then he'll tear the city apart building by building until he finds him. Simple. With the rage that he's currently feeling, that shouldn't be too difficult at all.
