The solid hand at your back guides you through the dusty streets towards the courthouse in the middle of town. It’s not an easy walk. Your shoes catch on the skirt of your dress a handful of times in Price’s haste, each time almost causing you to tumble forward before you manage to catch yourself.
It’s patently unfair. The strides of his long legs would easily have you losing him in a crowd were it not for the way he refuses to leave you behind; every time you so much as slow down a tad to catch your breath, the firm hand on your low back presses you forward again. You’d be snippier if you weren’t still addled from the events of just five minutes previous.
“I beg you, please—” you plead, heart skittering in your chest when you chance a glance up to find Price’s face set. Everything about him feels purposeful now, driven. “If you just—if you would just let me explain!”

Has anyone paid attention to how Astarion's tent reflect on his personality?
The exteriour side is clean and elegant. There are pillows, a carpet, an expensive mirror, even a fucking plant (headcanon - Astarion is into gardening). His tent is probably the most well-maintained in the whole camp.
There are empty bottles with blood (as if he is an alcoholic who doesn't bother to take out the garbage). There is no bed (Halsin is also an Elf but he has a bedrol in his tent) - it's just wooden plank, a piece of rag for a blanket and some sorry excuse for a pillow. His tent is a mess like this room who belongs to an addict or a depressed person. It's dirty, full of garbage. And he doesn't have a comfortable place for sleep!
All the good things (new and clean) he has are put out in the front to others to see. When people pass by they see this beautiful picture of a gedonist-magistrate who wants everything to be in order. Dare to look inside - it's a completely different picture.

I read all of these in one sitting and they were AMAZING, They are, and I really am excited to read more of this.
Reader seems like such a complex character and also she (we?) are hiding something more. Not evil, not bad, not deceitful, but painful. The first clue would be that Emma's dad is sadly deceased. But I think that the circumstances of his death are important, and the relationship between Reader and him, too.
On the other hand Simon is very caring, yes, gentle to whatever extent he could be gentle, but also he's slowly letting this (over)protective side of him come to light.
Despite all these tragic factors, this reads very much as slice of life (also fuck that rude Anon, you can write however the hell you want). I love it, Yes, there's some edge to it but mostly I like this context where two characters are trying to heal from something painful, still mourning and grieving, and they're capable of finding light in each other. Another chance to love, maybe.
I cannot wait to see more:)
