if they were going to elect a king, i would’ve found a beautiful irony in gendry being on the throne.

trust me when i say i know it’d be anticlimactic and i know it’d make no sense as to why.

but just think. the events leading up to the beginning of the series was robert’s rebellion, overthrowing the targaryens and a baratheon was on the throne when all was said and done. they could’ve literally had the same kind of ending, in a sense, and it would’ve been ironic as hell

one of my favorite parts of this finale, and there aren’t many tbh but anyways, was podrick being a kingsguard.

throughout his journey, he became an excellent squire, he learned how to fight, proved himself to be the most loyal person through and through and survived it all.

I’M PROUD OF YOU SER PODRICK PAYNE.

so the noble Starks deserved a realistic ending but Daenerys, a girl raised by abusers, who spent her whole life freeing people from slavery, overcoming her oppression, earning the love of others, proving that she was a smart and fierce leader who only wanted to do good in the world, didn’t?

We can criticize the last episode all we like.

But we can’t deny how flipping good the cinematography was like goddamn.

Also who else was sobbing when Drogon was nudging Daenerys to wake up and then carried her body off. Like holy shit I was a mess.

Clouds seen from above. Horses small as antsthundering through the grass. A silver moon, almost close enough to touch. Rivers running bright and blue below, glimmering in the sun. Will I ever see such sights again? On Drogon's back she felt whole. Up in the sky the woes of this world could not touch her.
