I did my waiting! 12 years of it! In Azkaban!
This is a file manager for sims 4 files, with which you can structure your mods folder, as well as clean it. My folder weighed 209 GB! And this program is a panacea for me. Now I will be able to clean up my folder and leave only what I really need in it, because with this program it is done very quickly and conveniently!

P. S. A little advice from me on using this program. As I said, my mods folder is really very big. I tried to structure it by author, but I abandoned it. As a result I have a subfolder with 13 thousand files in it. As far as I understand, the program processes such a large number of files in one folder a little more slowly and sometimes jams. Therefore, it is better that the files be placed in separate subfolders for faster and more convenient processing. This is a little advice in case you have also brought your mods folder to the same state as I did :D.

Short tutorial on how to make new ts4 cc compatible with old game version
Somewhere in 2020 with the nifty knitting update (or something) this became a real plague: newer custom content (CC) for the sims 4 won’t show up in the game. When you try to open it up in an older Sims 4 Studio (S4S) you see something like this:
Which means some bla bla inside the file is preventing it to be loaded. For some CC this doesn’t even make sence (for example tatoos worked for ages without this requirement). Also some people actually have good reasons not to play the EA update game.

Introduction
As someone who has a lot of sliders in her game and uses a lot of sliders when it comes to creating her sims, I’ve ran into three main scenarios that drive me mad almost every single time:
- “Where the hell is this slider that I just downloaded? Wait, how do I use this? Ugh, do I really have to go back to where I found it to know 😑? Where did I download this from? 🤨”
- “WTF?! I didn’t know I had a slider that could do this 😮😊! Game changer bro! Game changer!… Wait, I actually downloaded you a month ago and it’s only now you decide to come into my life?! The audacity 🙄.” (yes, I’m blaming the slider here, not my own negligence)
- “I have slider #1 and slider #2 that are both amazing but they use the same hot spot. Now I have to act like a parent and choose which one is their favorite child and frankly, that’s too much drama for me on this lovely afternoon… Sigh.”
Did you resonate with any of those scenarios? Well, honey, I have a solution to all of your problems.
For the past several weeks, I’ve taken a good look at all of the sliders I have in my sims game (all… 87?! of them) and created a helpful guide that solved the initial problems I had with them. I showed it to several of my friends that are avid sims players and they, too, found the guide to be very helpful. So I decided to share it with the rest of you so it could provide some QOL changes to your CAS experience. Or help you discover some new sliders that you never knew you needed/existed!
Now let’s see if I can succeed with explaining how to use this guide in the simplest way possible. Disclaimer: I’m not the best at giving out directions, so I wish you luck in understanding.

Hey everyone, Long time no see. It’s Shelly here. I have a lot to say so please bare with me. I will be addressing everything that you all need to know. This year has literally been the worst that I have ever experienced.
First, Regarding the main reason I left. I used a scalp texture from Brandysims without proper credits. The reason this whole thing became what it was is because Enrique was the one who informed Brandysims where he got the scalp texture he was using. I have used some parts of Enrique’s meshes without proper credits as well. I am not excusing my actions and I feel terrible about this whole situation. I know I am not a good person for what I did. I apologize and I never meant to cause this much harm. To Enrique I am sorry. To Brandon I am sorry. To anyone I have ever hurt by trying to make meshes I am sorry. You all truly don’t know how much this has effected my mental health. I have not been well ever since this has happened. I am a terrible person for all of this and I know my actions are inexcusable. I deleted all of my accounts because I am no longer going to be creating custom content ever again. I have been making CC for almost 4 years now and its has been a beautiful journey. But it’s time to move on. My father passed away in early September and ever since then I have always known that this year was going to be my last. I am not saying that for you to pity me. I am just letting you all know why I have been struggling so bad.
Secondly, It has come to my understanding that Brandysims stole from other creators from IMVU and Second life and hides all of his meshes behind a paywall. I find it very interesting that you decided to call me out when you yourself have done the exact same thing if not worse. You said you tried to message me once but then you didn’t hear from me so you made that post. So my question is, what kind of man only reaches out once then makes a whole “callout” post and sends your goons to harass me? You even gave me an ultimatum. I had MULTIPLE forms of contact that you could have done. I had, Discord, Email, Twitter etc. You took the cowards approach and it worked. I got verbally harassed and called every name you could think of. Lemme make this clear, I am not excusing my actions, and I still do feel awful for what transpired but, the way you handled this situation was and is very childish. I understand your frustration but the way I was bombarded with hatful words, really did not help this situation. If anything it made it worse.
Lastly, I have seen that a new creator Yamakaiji is getting some backlash and others are saying that I am the one running that account or vise versa. I am sorry to tell you all that is simply not the case. Alex and I have been friends for quite sometime, even before I was a CC creator. Recently a few weeks ago he messaged me in hopes to become a CC creator. I sent him my Mods folder and helped him set everything up for his blog. This was before the whole Brandysims situation transpired. To those who keep calling him Shelly, STOP IT. We are not the same person and I will not allow you to make another black creator leave this platform because you all are too ignorant to comprehend. You all need to stop all of this madness. We have little to no black creators creating exclusively black content, so once again this whole situation is MY FAULT. He doesn’t deserve the backlash. And to @worrytuna who made that weak “callout” post, you are so quick to drag someone, but you should wait to hear the entire story. This whole situation is my fault. If anyone is to blame it is me. People like you who are so rash are the cause of the problem. Once again I never meant to cause this much discourse and hurt. To Alex I’m sorry I put you in this position. I truly feel terrible.
Now, Finally regarding my CC…I have one request. Don’t retexture my black hair into straight textures. You can share the CC and even include the meshes in your recolors but as long as you give credit where credit is due, there shouldn’t be a problem. Trust me, the lesson I have learned in all of this is to make sure you give credit where credit is due and have integrity.
- @losts4cc is hosting all of my meshes so that is where you can find them. Lots4cc is the only person who is allowed to host my meshes. If anyone else is hosting my meshes please delete your host sites. Also If anyone needs any help finding a mesh or an old mesh let me know before I permanently leave by the end of the week.
To all the people who I have met on this platform and to all the friendships I have formed I truly am grateful for you all. To all the ones who have supported me monetarily I will forever be in your gratitude. You all helped me pay for a few of my books for college and for that i will forever be grateful. You all have given me a platform to express my love for cc and I am eternally grateful for you. I love you all so much! Thank you for all the support thorough the years and even in this crazy time. To all the ones who sent me messages and inbox replies and even emails I wanna say thank you. I will never for get the outpouring of love that I have received throughout this whole situation. In a way, I’m grateful that this transpired the way it did. I am now going to move forward from here and take a break and get my mental health together. This happened the way it was supposed to. I am a better person because of this. And once again if I haven’t made it clear I am sorry for causing so many problems. All I wanted to do was make content the represented the beauty that my culture has. I truly meant no harm and i hope you all see that. I have always tried to be kind and a symbol of inspiration on this platform but, people make mistakes and I made a big one. I am not asking for your forgiveness or even your pity, I am asking for grace and understanding. What I did was wrong and it has caused a snowball effect of mess. I am here to clean it up and say if anyone is to blame for this WHOLE situation, it’s me. Do me a favor and please, please, please treat other with kindness. You never know what someone is going through. Life is too short to not be kind. Once again I love you all so much and thank you for reading this and letting me clear things up and set things straight.

Hi I was wondering if you could explain how you can use your sims for townies? There was a tutorial but the link has expired :(
Hi! Thanks for the question, hopefully I can help. There are two ways, depending on how much effort you want to put in:
1. Higher effort:
Download the zipped folder(s) for the townies you want and put the contents in this folder on your computer: ‘Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray’. Put the custom content (hair, clothes, etc) in this folder: ‘Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods’.
Then, in neighborhood view, go to your library. Choose the townies you want to put in your game and either move them into a lot, or just place them in the world by going into CAS and then clicking on the ‘x’ when prompted to move them in. I recommend not moving them into a lot, since it might remove some NPC settings. This method offers more control over which sims are in your game, but it is more time-consuming.
2. Lower effort:
Download the zipped folders for a bunch of townies and put the contents in this folder on your computer: ‘Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray’. Put the custom content (hair, clothes, etc) in this folder: ‘Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods’. Install MC Command Center (https://deaderpool-mccc.com) by putting the packages in your Mods folder.
Then, in the game, click on a computer and select ‘MC Command Center>MC Population > Populating Settings > Import Tray Settings > Import Tray Percent.’ Change that value to 100. Then, enable ‘Include Clothing’. Sims from your Tray folder will now be pulled into the game instead of randomly-generated townies. This method requires more effort up-front, because you will need to fill your Tray folder with a good amount of sims. After that, though, it’s pretty much smooth sailing, since you can eliminate randomly-generated townies for good!

My first post was 5 years ago!!!
Even though I stopped being active for some time now I still see so much activity on this account!
The Sims just doesn’t do it for me anymore and I’ve been so busy with school. I may be back if and whenever Sims 5 comes out. Looking back, not only has my CC making skills gotten much better, so has my photoshopping! Theme Series is my favorite thing that I’ve done while I was here.
I’ve had so many meaningful interactions here and this community is so supportive, so thank you to everyone who’s been interested in my work (seriously 13k followers that’s unbelievable!)
I uploaded all my CC onto one folder (broken links will remain broken on the individual CC link so look in the collective cc folder)
