DPxDC prompt: Danny Phantom is an extremely high-level threat due to his capabilities and experience battling against his ghostly enemies. Batman is creating a contingency plan for him and Constantine's advice, as the one who dances the tango with the Infinite Realms? A bone-weary sigh of "plop him down a telly and put on a NASA documentary or something. It's like you haven't been dealing with teen kids for decades now fer fuck's sake."
Danny "meets" John when he goes to visit Clockwork and ask about the logistics of making a pocketwatch that acted like a compass similar to the infinimap.
CW usually waited at the bottom of the Tower whenever he visited, so he figured that the ghost was always aware of when Danny decided to visit. When CW wasn't waiting on the steps this time, he didn't really think anything of it and flew through towards the top.
He should have thought something of it. He really should have.

He’s jolted up, but before he can properly roll out of the way, a familiar glowing teenager falls into his lap.
He grunts, because ow but relaxes with a groan.
“Your Majesty. It’s—” He looks over at a nearby clock that wasn’t there before, “4am. What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be in bed?” The young king looks up at him with an impish grin, before floating up and around him like some kind of floating serpent twisting this way and that.
“Hi, StepDad. I’m fine, Stepdad. Thanks for asking, Stepdad—” his majesty is upside down now, laying over the telly.

also yes. ghosts love playing tag in this AU. It's a love language!
if youre talking about the dialogue scene...well, it's up for interpretation really! but i will say that when i wrote the scene it was with the intention that Danny still lives with his parents until he goes off for college. whether or not he stays at home comfortably is a whole 'nother can of worms.
But honestly, it was all very vague in my head, so it could really have been anything! a bad reveal explanation would have worked too. It was mostly just to show that John and Danny have bonded by this point, and how important names were to each of them.
Also can i tell you a secret? (it wasn't Danny's idea to show up, it was Clockwork's 🤣)
John could just about hear the cogs turning in Batman's head. He could ccertainly feel the demanding eyes boring into the side of his head as he slumped, hand over his eyes. Didn't help that the brat was floating upside down over his head.

John is sighed as he watched the pair play fight. He was glad he didn't have to listen to the rest of the tirade. But watching them grapple, pull hair and bite each other? All the while causing proximity damage to everything in their path? Urgh, Fuck it. He muttered a quick chant, and with a flick the two were drenched in water. He smirked at them before bolting. He was sure the next half hour would be interesting.
So. Uh. This popped out. Don't ask me how it got here--it just is.
I blame @wolfjackle-creates for asking about it and reminding me I wanted to write more parts to it.

Kon also doesn’t usually get called upon by John Constantine, considering the guy doesn’t even seem to like the Justice League, much less the Young Justice Team.
