So a major reason why air moons/earth moons don’t show emotions or vulnerability to others that easily is because they don’t trust other people easily due to past experience where they showed their most weakest moment and they were ignored or ridiculed for it. It could be a parent, a friend or a partner who sadly done that to them. And after this experience they prefer to be as controlled and calm emotionally so they don’t lose their dignity in front of someone again.
