Thayne and I took it upon ourselves and decided that we did not want to wait until next year to get married. We were just so ready to take that next step and take on the roles of husband and wife. After several discussions, we decided to get married on a Tuesday so we could have our Halloween wedding. We messaged close friends and family to help make our dream wedding come true. Jessa and Emma collaborated together to assist us with photography and an officiant. Not to mention, we were able to have Sophia as our beautiful flower pal (the best flower pal might I add)! My sister so lovingly helped me with hair and some of my make up, even Jessa and Adri took turns helping lace my dress up. My Aunt Pamela made my beautiful flowers for me as well! When we made it to the hotel, we took it upon ourselves to read our vows privately. It was much more sentimental and so worth it. The one thing we did not really decide/discuss was our first look at each other and if we wanted to ride together. Last minute, I decided to have Thayne and his dad ride together to the venue before us so that way I could get that first look captured on camera! I was definitely surprised by it too. I didn't expect him to cry but he sure did. I was nervous but I felt so comfortable. Not many believe in soulmates, and neither did I before we met, but he is my soulmate, my moon. We complete each other and give each other strength where we once held weakness. Together forevermore. Everything felt so right despite how cold it was. okay so like, we all know that housekeeping in a hotel is a Shit Job, right?
I worked with a woman who was independently wealthy. But she liked working housekeeping. So she did. And if the manager got bitchy with her, she’d just shrug and be like “Okay, I can quit.”
Like the manager treated her like a human being because she knew she had to because otherwise she’d lose one of her best workers.
Yes, everyone should be just handed the money to live.
I worked with a lady who’s husband made more than enough to support them both. She just did the retail to have something to do with herself part-time.
There’s a lot of people who’d happily do the same sort of thing. Honestly? A lot of the jobs we consider “shitty” jobs? Are shitty because the employees are treated like garbage.
If employees weren’t being screwed over by people higher up the chain constantly or being forced to kiss the asses of customers currently shitting all over them, those jobs would by and large be a whole lot more bearable, and appealing to more people!!

You know what feels good? Telling your partner how you truly feel and they actually listen and don't want to argue with you. I feel so much better even though I'm still just sad about a situation I can't control
To any fic writers who worry they are wasting their time… I read a fic for a relatively small and inactive fandom about three years ago. And there was one specific scene where a character watched another dancing like an idiot to a beyonce song and it was so sweet and loving that even now years later I have that song on one of my spotify playlist so every once in a while it will play and remind me of that fic, and every time it does I smile and feel a little happier.
The stats on a fic will never really tell you if your writing touched someone. There’s no numerical way to show you what impact you made. Maybe you are wasting time, or maybe you are writing something that someone will remember for a long time, something that will never fail to make them smile.
And if you have that kind of relationship with a fic, definitely go back and leave a comment every once in a while to let the writer know you’re still thinking about it. That kind of thing, even just to say “I’m rereading this for the nth time,” makes a writer’s day.
