Journal Entry No. 18

So I made a lot of burgers to celebrate, but here’s the thing: I have nobody to celebrate with. After I came back from the temple I realized that there was a huge chance of me dying in there. Literally, drop dead, and nobody would even know because I’m all alone here.

I’m going back to San Myshuno tomorrow, and I decided that next time I come, I’ll bring someone with me.

I am writing this from the heart of the jungle. I am currently sitting in the ruins of what could have been the ancient Omiscan civilization. I am completely speechless and in awe. How surreal, how magical. How lucky I am to be one of the few sims who has been able to see such wonder. As I drink from my plastic water bottle, I can only imagine how it was like before, before us, before the future came and took all of this beauty away.

Okay, maybe I should dial it down a little with the food. I have been eating absolutely everything I can get my hands on! The empanadas, arepas, and everything else from the food stall sent me straight down memory lane, to when I was a kid, and Abuela’s food had the most magnificent scent, and then, it sent me straight to the bathroom.

Well, here I am. Honestly, I was expecting Selvadorada to be a dream come true, but I wasn’t expecting it to be all of my dreams come true. This place is everything I thought it would be, and more! As soon as I arrived, I headed to the town, where my grandparents met. I thought that after all these years, it was going to be completely different from what Abuelo described, but everything is here, the vendors, the food stalls, the cheerful locals, even the stray cats!
