Mango and Ash

(They’re in love.)

Mango first spotted Ash when she was out hunting on her own. Mango was stunned by her beauty and strength, and even after observing Ash hunt, kill, and tear into an animal several times his size, he chanced approaching her.

Ash, in the middle of her meal, tired from her hunt, with a beak covered in blood, was greatly confused and slightly offended when the small yellow bird before her launched into an odd, emotionally charged, nearly inintelligible speech, seemingly directed at her. Her mood soon shifted when she realized he was basically composing a poem on the spot, singing her praises.

In their short time together Mango would continue to express his boundless admiration for Ash artistically rather than through feats of strength or hunting prowess. It was completely antithetical to the fire choro way of courting, but oddly, Ash found she preferred it!

They are the soul of my childhood

The babies can ride on the parent’s back. They didn’t need to invent any more duplo after this, they peaked. DUPLO Dino (Dacta) four sets ever released 1997-2007 RIP

Anonymous asked:

what would you say are your biggest inspirations for choros? real species, fictional, etc.

Birds of prey and terror birds, mainly. There’s a specific documentary clip that sticks out in my mind on terror birds where the narrator states “this is a world where birds hunt horses.” that was really influential to the modern concept of their world and me in general as a child. I think it might have been from Walking with Beasts, but I’m not sure.

They are brightly colored and element-themed because their original designs were based on a game of pretend I played with duplo blocks as a kid, and I played with duplo blocks that way because I grew up with Pokémon, Avatar, and My Little Pony.

Thank you for asking :) I really love talking about my birds
