You were naive. Too naive.
You always looked at the world in a nice prospective, seeing against people’s true nature because you saw the good in everyone. It was how the eight of you ended up together in the first place, because you saw the good in them and trusted them. You were too kind for your own good.
And others took advantage of that.
But they knew the intentions of every male that had approached you and it always ticked them off with how kind you were being towards others.
“Baby, you ready to go?” Jungkook walked up right behind you, sliding his arm possessively around your waist, not minding the fact that you were in the middle of a conversation with your coworker.
“Oh, Jungkook,” you squeaked at how close his lips was to your ear, jumping at his touches. “You’re here early.”
“This is..” your coworker trailed off, eyeing the two of you with clear envy. Jungkook wanted to scoff at how he couldn’t take the hint but decided against being a brat that day.
“Oh, this is my boyfriend. I-“
“Boyfriends,” someone else stressed and another arm slid at your other side as his chin rested on your shoulder.
“Hey baby girl.” He lifted himself up only to greet you with a kiss before propping his chin back down.
Your face visbly flushed as you turned back to your coworker. You didn’t know why they were acting possessive at the moment they came to pick you up. You guessed it was probably due to the stresses of their jobs.
“Let’s go, hm?” Jungkook said out of impatience, not bothering to allow you to say goodbye as he practically dragged you away from the male.
“I think you scared him,” you said cringing at the way your coworker had became speechless the moment they arrived.
“Good,” Jimin shrugged nonchalantly.
“But he was a kind gentleman.”
“Too kind.” Taehyung had been leaning against the wall just outside your coffee shop when the three of you walked out. “You should quit your job,” he said so without hesitation.
You blinked, unsure of why. “Is he dangerous?”
“Not in the way you’re thinking, baby girl,” Seokjin said.
“He can’t be trusted around you.”
“Sweet.” Jimin wanted to gag as his hands curled into a ball. “Don’t say that about another guy ever again.” You were quick to squeak out an apology at Jimin’s order but he assured you silently by placing a kiss atop your head.
“No you don’t baby girl,” Hoseok was quick to say when you hopped into the vehicle and he placed you in between him and Yoongi.
“Our job gives us plenty of money, you won’t have to worry about a thing, my love,” Namjoon said from the driver’s seat. “Allow us to provide for you.”
You sat there unsure. “I don’t want to be a-”
“Nope,” Yoongi was quick to grab your face between his fingers before you could say any more. “You can never be a burden to us, you know that. We love you so let us take care of you, alright?”
Love. You smiled, still surprised someone like you could be loved by seven men, and the corner of their mouths curled at the sight.
