this is my entry for the @verseofthedeep zine. I picked the Gallant as my subject, inspired by that one chapter in Tiger, Tiger.

Comic for @verseofthedeep a fan zine for the amazing webcomic Tiger Tiger by @pepurika It’s about growing up with siblings and seeing the paths laid out for you growing apart. I had a lot of fun playing with style but i also realized how difficult it is to write a fan comic for someone else’s characters, phew

The overlapping speech bubbles from one scene to the next are really neat.

my full piece for @verseofthedeep ! inspired by 18th century painters’ self-portraits, featuring, of course, the Artist, and Ludo-via-portraiture.

(also the book ludo is reading in the painting is loosely meant to be Carolus Linnaeus’ Systema Naturae, though i only vaguely doodled it rather than trying to actually recreate the book lol)
