happy pride month! a couple of reminders for everyone before we get started:
-there is no A
-there is no Q
-there is no I
-the full acronym is lgbt and applies only to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals (this includes pansexual and nonbinary/gnc individuals)
-the slur queer is available to be reclaimed by the above identities and no one else. if you’re not lgbt and you’re using the word queer, stop right now!
-cishet aces and aros are not lgbt
-the gay rights movement was started by trans women of color, so any rhetoric that excludes them does not speak for our community
-he/him lesbians and nonbinary lesbians are not men, they are lesbians
-bi and pan mean the same thing, and if you’re pan and think that trans men and trans women are somehow different genders than cis men and cis women you are transphobic and do not belong in lgbt spaces

If you judge people solely on their ability to be straight passing because of the gender and sexuality of their partner(s), you’re doing them the same disservice as anyone who invalidates bi/pan people for the same reasons (coming from a pansexual perspective myself).

- queers exist and can be any shade of gay lesbian trans bi pan and etc it was a slur used against the entire community and therefore can be used by everyone in it, (however if you yourself prefer not to say it/ identify with it, that’s totally valid as well).
-there is an I
- if people who are intersex identify with anything at all, the cishets and the bulk of society will judge them based off of their preconceived notions of gender and sex, and therefore are part of the lgbt+ community if they choose to identify with such a label. (Once again, if they do not wish to identify with it, that’s totally their choice)
-correct, the gay rights movement was started by trans women of color and anyone who is not inclusive of them can get stuffed
-bi and pan are not the same by definition. Bi means two. Bisexual means being attracted to two genders; it does not mean only girls and boys. There are people who are attracted to only women and nonbinary people or any other combination.
-bi and pan people can also interchange their label based on what they feel comfortable coming out as, which is why pride month is important
-labels are very personal and people choose them as they define them. Looking at someone who identifies as bi and saying “So, you’re just pan, right?” or Vice Versa, looking at a Pan person and saying”So, you’re really bi, right?” is invalidating if they do not personally identify with both labels or simply do not care about it
gentle reminder that if you identify with the QIA in LGBTQIA+ you are as valid as everyone else in this community happy pride month!

Don’t get me wrong, but the idea of kpop being recognized in every corner makes me worried and sick. I like being part of some fandom which is not known everywhere. I like to be in a group of people who enjoy same music and do not spit so much hate. I don’t want kpop become same trash as half of today’s music. And if this continues it will be the same. And another worry is that our beloved boys and girls will be faced to too much pressure. They have such tight schedules right now… how about in few more years? I am not ARMY, but I like BTS… and I am worried that if their popularity will grow, they won’t be able to handle it… and it’s not the only group.
Am I the only one who don’t want kpop videos with one billion views? I am biggest fan of not-that-but-still-underrated groups, but I don’t want them as famous as EXO or BTS, because I know how hard this would be for them. I just want them to be more recognized among kpop world and that they could win some music shows.
I hope I won’t offend anyone. I just wanted to state my worries where may kpop and its protagonists end if it spreads more and more. I just want to stop it. At the beginning it made me happy, now I am more anxious.

So, return to my body, from the [pause] other plane of existence in which I scream. A lot. And I tell her: “You know, China, China, you see, the country that I’m from, is a part of Asia.”
And she’s like, “Where’s Asia?”
[whispers] She asked me. Where Asia is.
And I say, “Well, Asia consists of, you know..” and I list the different Asian countries and she’s like “Whaat?”
And I’m like [sarcastically] it’s, it’s this thing, you know, that you learn about in like third grade geography. It’s a continent! And she’s like “A continent?”
And I’m like “Yes.”
And she goes, “so it’s not a country?”
I’m like, “No.”
And she’s like “What’s the difference?”
And I’m like [deep breath] “America, you see, has like North, Central, South, so like, take somewhere from Canada; they are North American but they’re also Canadian…”
And she’s like “I don’t understand.”
And I’m like “It’s okay, just know that I am both Asian AND Chinese” and you know what, she is still confused to this day, and I [pause] am still on the other plane of existence, screaming, as I tell this story to you. So you can come join me, on the separate plane of existence.”
