Cloud 23
Installment TWO. How exciting. Today I am reviewing a margarita from one of my favourite bars in the world, Cloud 23 in Manchester! This bar is particularly interesting as it is on the 23rd floor of Beetham Tower making it like totally high up. You have to dress smart and queue up on a red carpet to get in, and the drinks are like £10, but the view is so awesome that it's totally worth it. Plus it's super cool looking inside:
Now to the drink: The original margarita comes in an attractive glass, and unlike the previous drink, it is a taller, stronger version. It tastes expensive (in a good way) and is bitter and salty but with a sweet soury undertone that has a sharp tequila taste at the end.
You sip this drink appreciatively whilst you nibble on the complimentary oriental cracker mix and stare out the window. Altogether highly enjoyable. However it is not as refreshing as the 9/10 Chiquito's cocktail, so whilst it is more refined and classy, it is not as completely satisfying in every aspect a drink could be. This being said, it was mmmmmmmmmmm and other nice things, and I didn't want to cry about how much I paid for it. It therefore earns a 'daniel cocktail rating™' of✩8/10✩.
- If you do ever visit Manchester I highly recommend giving this place a visit if it's your kind of activity, it has a glass floor and is far too high up but is generally a very very cool place to have a drink. Look at me I updated this blog!! Who'd have thought. I literally have about 15 reviews ready to post now however, so look forward to more reviews coming soon! yay As if anybody is even reading this why do I even I don't even why I don't know
