Hey! I'm Sage (they/them). I'm late 20s, ace, queer, disabled, and a professional trigglypuff. This is my corner of the internet where I squirrel away things I like--I hope you like those things too! I really like podcasts, casual gaming, and "scary" animals. I sometimes reblog posts of my pet bugs from my bugblr, which are usually videos, and unfortunately Tumblr has no spoiler function. Please blacklist #spiders and/or #mantises if that's what you need to be safe--but consider giving them a chance if you're able! I hope you can see the same beauty in them that I do. See my links page for sideblogs and me on other sites, and my about for even more info than that! Black lives matter! Free Palestine! I hope you have a really good day and see a cool frog. Se habla español.

An Update on the Tumblr Android App

For those of you who access Tumblr through our Android app, we wanted to share that starting today you may see some differences for search queries and posts that may contain specific types of sensitive content. In order to comply with Google’s Play Store Guidelines, we have adjusted what you’re able to access as it relates to potentially sensitive content while using the Android app.

To remain available within Google's Play Store, we have added more measures and limit exposure to potentially sensitive content in order to comply with their guidelines and to provide a safer experience to you. To learn more about Google’s Play Store Guidelines, click here

How you may experience these changes

When browsing Tumblr through Dashboard, Search, Communities and other surfaces you might experience less content and some searches might not produce any results unless you enable “show mature content” in Tumblr settings. Please refer to our Help Center article to learn more.

Why these changes are being made

We want to make sure Tumblr is available everywhere you would like to access it. In order for us to remain in Google’s Play Store and for our Tumblr Android app to be available, we needed to make changes that would help us be more compliant with Google’s policies around sensitive content.

We understand that, for some of you, these changes may be very frustrating – we understand that frustration and we apologize for any disruption that these changes may cause.

Who this impacts

These changes will only impact those who are accessing Tumblr through the Android app. If you are using our iOS app, accessing Tumblr through mobile web or online through tumblr.com, your experience will remain unchanged.

Dear Everyone,

You do not need an app to access tumblr. You just need a browser.

Phones can have a browser just like any other device. I'm not going to recommend a specific browser but all the main actors are available on your phone: Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge, Opera, and there are also phone-specific ones like Samsung browser. All of these are capable of going to www.tumblr.com.

If you use a normal browser to access tumblr, you will not be censored by any of this nonsense. Just go to www.tumblr.com, log in, and be free.

Granted, tumblr on a phone browser is a lot buggier than tumblr on a desktop browser but at least you can see and post real content.

Speaking as someone who used the mobile app for years, then switched to just using a normal web browser for a while now... I get LESS bugs and glitches this way.

Most notably, it NEVER yeets me to the top of my feed if I look away for like 10 seconds. I could open up a months old tumblr dashboard tab and it would still be in the same place.

And you know what else? Web browsers can have adblock!

Tumblr's app has been garbage for a long time and A Secret List Of Banned Words And Topics (unless you find the Secret Toggle) is just one more example of why.

"boo hoo google store is mean to us but it could be worse" hey. You could use your web browser instead. It's better actually.

me, unloading a fitted sheet from the dryer: *squinting* what's that you've got in your mouth

fitted sheet: nothing :)))))))

me, prying open its twisted jaws: na-ah!!! give it to me RIGHT now!!

fitted sheet: *resentfully spits out a wad of 3 very damp dishtowels, a pillowcase, and a pathetically sodden washcloth*

a few doors down from me my neighbors have a squirrel bar nailed to the tree in front of the sidewalk, not exactly this but something like this:

it's been there for years and they never "stock" it so it's just sitting there. anyway, i thought it would be cute to make a little squirrel out of sculpey and leave it on one of the stools in the middle of the night. i also made a little sculpey beer bottle with its own label.

it lasted exactly one day and now it is gone. it didn't fall off, i stuck it on with tape. what do you think happened to it? your most fantastical and wrong answers only, please

HUGE NEWS HUGE UPDATE

squirrel REAPPEARED today... NOW PAINTED

I’m watching Splash (1984) which is a romcom about a guy who falls in love with a mermaid, and when she chooses a human name she chooses Madison and guy says “that’s not a real name, but alright” which seems to imply that Madison was not a name until at least the 80’s and all girls named Madison are actually named after the mermaid. thought you should know

I think...you might be right

what the fuck

The best compliments and insults are both just describing the person. Just describe whatever you can clearly observe about them. The distinction of whether that's an insult or a compliment is whether you're saying it with a pleasant tone, or if you're saying that like it's a bad thing.

Children, who make their observations in an utterly deadpan voice as neutral remarks, are capable of obliviously roasting people because they haven't noticed this.
