A Bloomsbury rep casually confirming on YouTube that Sarah Janet Maas is planning a new series.

Woman I need you to finish ACOTAR first. We've been standing in the trenches for way too long.

Ao3 is run by zionists, here’s what you can do

1. Stop donating. It’s a volunteer organization so boycotting doesn’t hurt them financially, donations do. It’s a running joke in fandom how quickly the goal is met two, three times over whenever donations are asked for; the joke needs to stop running. Your money will endorse an organization that condones genocide.

2. Contact AO3 Support and Feedback and OTW’s Contact Us to voice your displeasure against this. It’s hypocritical of them to rally against censorship, then proceed to the same.

3. Spread the word. I’ll put my message under the cut as a template of sorts.

god i love fallible characters, but specifically zuko in the catacombs. choosing his sister over his uncle just to get to sleep in his childhood bed again. earning katara's kindness and empathy and stripping it all away in minutes because he ached for the familiar. fighting on the wrong side of history just to see his father smile with pride. knowing he could have done the right thing, but what is being good when you could be terrible but loved.

Azriel alone had listened to her.

“It’s just physical, Azriel doesn’t care about Elain as a person”

"It's all very disorienting." "I can imagine"

"Would you like me to show you the garden?"

“I can help her”

"What about Elain?"

"I'm getting her back."

"Are you hurt?"

“We need Helion to get these chains off her."

“This is Truth-Teller. I won't be using it today—so I want you to.”

“What happened to Elain?"

“You don't-- Don't apologize. Never apologize.”

I’m sorry but there’s NO WAY sjm would write that Azriel would get on his knees for Elain if they were not gonna become a thing. That alone should’ve been enough to confirm Elriel I can’t believe we’re still having this debate 😭

Especially with how much she emphasises the whole men on their knees for their women thing. Like she said, ITS PRETTY OBVIOUS

Can you imagine how it would feel for someone like Azriel, who has serious self worth issues for hundreds of years and probably feels like even fate skipped over in term of having a mate, to be chosen as a life partner over someones actual fated mate?? He deserves it.

And for Elain, who had her whole life with a rich lord planned by her mother since childhood, then her eternity “planned” by fate with some male, to choose who she spends eternity with. Choosing for herself, choosing love. She deserves it.

Truly getting tired of either Steve's character getting reduced to nothing but 'peggypeggypeggypeggy' or Bucky and Steve plotlines recycled to fit some hetero narrative 🙃

the part where they cut off the games to broadcast the president's son died with "an important life was taken today" SECONDS AFTER watching a pile of dead district children was chilling

The capitol callously watching and commentating on the hunger games as defenceless children are subjected to horror and death but standing up and gasping in horror at Reaper ripping down the flag. Reaper laying the bodies of the murdered children to rest and looking to the camera asking for acknowledgment of their suffering only to be cut off and for the only reaction of horror mustered from the capitol citizens coming from the news of the death of one of their own. The Hunger Games will never not successfully act as a horrifying mirror to the atrocities in our world.

The way the Capitol citizens were SHOCKED and APPALLED when Reaper tore down the Capitol flag. More angry and outraged at that then any of the violence towards the tributes that had happened thus far far is SO SO SO paralleled in our own society when conservatives pearl clutch when protestors burn the American flag but literally not about dying children

Both the hunger games before and now the ballad of songbirds and snakes proves that the young adult genre can produce some genuinely good storytelling while also examining social issues without talking down to its audience, which makes the ungodly amount of popular bad ya novels all the more embarrassing.
