I LOVE being alive so I can be mediocre at SO many different hobbies

People in the tags keep saying this but unironically but this WAS unironic I actually do have hobbies and I am mediocre at them. And they do make me happy anyway

over on my post about Taylor Swift's enduring heterosexuality there's been a recent rash of people in the tags saying something to the effect of "obviously Taylor Swift is straight, no queer woman would date Matty Healy." which is frustrating, because white bisexual women date little shithead racist men all the time. having a racist boyfriend doesn't mean someone isn't really bisexual, it means that being queer doesn't prevent you from being racist. the thing that makes Taylor Swift straight is that she's straight, not that she's dated objectionable men.

[ id taken from alt text: A two page collage spread in a journal. There are two jagged starburst shapes in the center of the pages, a smaller yellow one with a larger orange one behind it. There are four birds around the edges of the pages: a goose, a mourning dove, a black vulture, and a eurasian collared dove. Red text with the occasional shiny silver and bronze letter across the starbursts reads "thank you for sending me an angel" in all caps. / end id ]

long ass car trips are alot like the modern day whaling voyage if you think about it. I think itd really be improved if the passenger seat could launch harpoons at passing pickup trucks though

Movies, TV shows, books, podcasts, anything counts! Bonus points if you put what scared you in the tags. Wondering how common it is to be Spooked™

Other: I wasn’t so scared I couldn’t sleep, but I did shower with my eyes open even when shampooing for several MONTHS after Final Destination 1.

i think some of you are under the impression i’m talking about femmes with like, a trimmed bush when in actuality i’m talking about femmes with a whole forest down there. femmes who don’t shave or trim. femmes with curly chest hair. femmes with thick belly hair. femmes with dark leg hair. femmes with coarse arm hair. femmes with 5 o’clock shadow. femmes with sideburns. i love all of you.

me, as I’m rubbing my t gel into my leg: hmm. what if I was cis this whole time

the transsexual angel sitting on my shoulder: who fucking cares. you’re having a good time being on t. either take t as a tranny or take it as a cis dyke. who cares!

me: thanks transsexual angel. are you allowed to reclaim those slurs btw

the usamerican concept of generations worked exactly once, kinda, a little, and since then people have been trying really hard to insist that it's a universal principal

still a bit weird to imagine how we went from "after a big war where a lot of people died, people came home and had a whole lot of kids at once" turned into "everyone born in 20-year blocks will have the same opinions, taste, and culture"

Idk how common this is among trans people, especially nonbinary ones, but... More than transitioning from a gender to another, I feel like I've transitioned from cis to queer. I switched from cisnormative masculinity and femininity, to queer ones.

I feel more comfortable now wearing masculinity like a butch or a faggot. Displaying the feminity of a dyke or a femboy. They feel more genuine, fun, flexible. I can play with them, mix them up.

That's what my trans journey ended up giving me. And I love it.
