Genuinely just a good man. Wife adopts teenage witch that needs a place to stay in the city? Sure. Even though you got a kid on the way? That’s fine. Cat too? Love cats. 

My favorite moment with him is when he goes to get some prepped baking sheets and he does this fancy twirl with them in front of Jiji. Like, there’s no other people in the room, he does this to impress a cat.

I don’t think he ever says more than a whole word the entire movie, and I still love him more than most Disney princes based on this one moment alone.

And the part where he wanted to surprise Kiki by making that beautiful elaborate sign OUT OF BREAD to advertise her business and he was all anxious for her to get home and see it

I often think of Job when I read this. I can relate to that struggle, we all can, the spiritual warfare. I look up and see the same sky, glittering with stars. I’m so small compared to Earth, the moon, the sun, the entire universe… how marvelous God is so make all of this and everyone around the planet. He says it is good! I am good. My mind of a poor sinner simply cannot comprehend the power of God, yet I know simply know, without a shadow of a doubt, that God is love and mercy itself.

I see His artwork all around me from the stars of night to the mysterious depths of the sea.

He knows my name. He knows my thoughts even before I speak them. He knows when I rise and when I sleep. He knows the number of hairs on my head! He knit me in my mother’s womb and loves me, a love greater than my own parents.

With all the chaos and threats of war, it can be so overwhelming and easy to see why people get lost. It’s our way as a sinner, we forget, we get scared, stress sets in. We panic and feel trapped, like there’s no way out. We go into fight or flight mode in our ways, striving just to survive.

God sees the bigger picture that we can’t right now. We think He is far away, hiding. But actually, that’s wrong. God knocks on the door to your heart every single moment, thirsting for you, for your love. Jesus Christ even said He thirsts when He was on the Cross. He wasn’t thirsty for water, but you!

If we should ever fall or forget, we can look at the Crucifix. We can also simply ask Him in prayer to come. He will answer You. He will stay by your side, invisible but loving. He wants to bring your heart peace. You need peace in your heart. He will keep His promises. He will provide for you.

Don’t loose hope tonight. God loves you.
