I wanna see something.
Prepare for trouble… and make it double!
I hate the fact that people doesn't give enough recognition to the opening scene of Infinity War where Loki neglects the tesseract like its nothing and shields Thor with his own body. Like, WHY DON'T PEOPLE ACKNOWLEDGE IT?!?!?!?!
THIS !!!! Yes!!!!! I made a gif of the scene and slowed it down a little here
You can see Loki drop the Tesseract like it’s nothing before he jumps to shield Thor’s body from the Hulk’s rampage with his own (I’m not saying that Hulk would hurt Thor on purpose, but there’s also a risk of Thor being in the way of Hulk and Thanos’s fighting and getting himself hurt)
You can also see by the way Loki inserts his own body between Thor’s and the ground that he wants to make sure Thor lands on him instead of the hard ground to prevent Thor from further injuries because Thor’s already hurt and can’t fully protect himself here.
Loki can lie to himself that he hates Thor, but deep down, his instinct is always to protect him.
He sacrificed himself to save his brother and his people and died by the hands of someone who’s tortured him for years and is probably his worst fear. So for me, he will always be remembered as a hero.
P.s. I think that one of the reasons why this is not talked about enough is because it happened so fast that most people just simply failed to notice it. I slowed the gif down so hopefully it will get more recognition somehow? Because this deserves to be talked about.

ignoring canon because i simply do not vibe with it
me, gracefully pushing canon out the window : this does NOT SPARK JOY
“Sometimes I feel as though there are two me’s, one coating directly on top of the other: the superficial me, who nods when he’s supposed to nod and says what he’s supposed to say, and some other, deeper part, the part that worries and dreams… Most of the time they move along in sync and I hardly notice the split, but sometimes it feels as though I’m two whole different people and I could rip apart at any second.”
